What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading daily site safety inspections—spotting risks before they become problems and reporting findings you genuinely care about.
- Coaching and empowering frontline crews to follow best safety practices, with hands-on demonstrations and clear communication.
- Developing and revising site-specific safety procedures, always keeping compliance and practicality in mind.
- Investigating incidents swiftly and thoroughly, ensuring thorough documentation and actionable recommendations for the future.
- Keeping detailed records of safety drills, workplace hazards, and corrective actions (yes, paperwork matters here!).
- Conducting toolbox talks and periodic safety training, tailored for real-world challenges our teams face.
- Liaising with supervisors and management to keep everyone in the loop when it comes to compliance and new regulations.
- Ensuring all equipment and machinery meet safety standards before work begins—because well-maintained tools are your best friends on site.
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- At least 5 years’ experience in a similar safety role within quarry or crusher operations—real hands-on knowledge of what makes these environments unique.
- Recognized certification in occupational health and safety (NEBOSH, IOSH, or similar).
- Up-to-date understanding of local and international safety standards.
- Confidence to speak up and a knack for creating trustful, open communication with colleagues at every level.
- Solid documentation and report-writing skills.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Additional certifications in heavy machinery safety or emergency response.
- Experience with digital safety management tools and audit software.
- Multilingual abilities (especially Arabic or Hindi).
