About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Ever found yourself practically redesigning every cafe you walk into—or catching the subtle details others miss in a room’s layout? As an Architect/Interior Designer with us, you’ll have the chance to bring those visions to life every day. We’re on the lookout for someone who thrives at the intersection of creativity and technical precision and who enjoys the challenge of shaping spaces, not just sketching them. If you love turning ideas into seamless realities, this might be your next creative home.
About the Company
Imagine a boutique firm where Friday brainstorming sessions occasionally spill into impromptu coffee tastings, and where everyone—from junior designer to principal—gets their say on color palettes. We’re a close-knit team that believes thoughtful design can genuinely improve how people live and work. Projects range from sleek residential makeovers to innovative commercial spaces, and we’re growing fast (yes, there’s a ‘wall of fame’ for completed builds—and it’s getting crowded). What matters to us: collaboration, transparency, and putting real value into every detail, whether in a floor plan or a client conversation.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Creating polished 2D technical drawings and jaw-dropping 3D renders for projects ranging from cozy apartments to bustling office spaces.
- Preparing thorough Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and accurate cost estimations—your knack for the numbers keeps budgets where they need to be.
- Meeting directly with clients to discuss needs, pitch creative solutions, and walk through both technical and financial proposals.
- Coordinating closely with project teams to translate your designs into reality, sometimes rolling up your sleeves on-site to troubleshoot or tweak.
- Keeping a finger on the pulse of material trends, pricing, and market shifts—your informed recommendations shape both aesthetics and bottom lines.
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Strong proficiency with design tools like AutoCAD and at least one of 3ds Max, SketchUp, or Revit.
- Sound knowledge of construction materials, finishes, and market pricing.
- Confident communication skills—especially when distilling the technical bits for clients or negotiating with vendors.
- Experience preparing BOQs and working up cost estimations with accuracy and clarity.
- An eye for both beauty and function, blending creativity with solid technical know-how.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Past experience in both client-facing and contractor-facing roles.
- A playful curiosity for sustainable or unconventional design materials.
- Some snappy sketching skills would not go unnoticed.
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Flexible work setup: hybrid options so you can sketch from home or dive into our collaborative studio atmosphere.
- Performance bonuses, plus annual outings (think more architectural tours, less trust falls).
- A culture of open feedback—good ideas get noticed, and your voice has weight from day one.
- Access to leading design resources and regular team workshops for skill-building and inspiration.
- Room to grow: as we expand, so can your role and your portfolio.
At the end of the day, you’ll be joining a team that cares as much about inspired spaces as the people who create them. If you’re ready to make your mark (and maybe leave a few inside jokes on those blueprints), let’s chat.
