About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Ever considered what a difference a steady, cheerful presence can make in a family’s daily life? We’re seeking a reliable, caring housemaid to join a welcoming Arab family living along the scenic Al Qawasim Corniche in Ras Al-Khaimah. This is more than a routine housekeeping role — it’s an opportunity to be part of a household that genuinely values warmth, trust, and the joy of everyday life together.

About the Family

Set amidst Ras Al-Khaimah’s vibrant waterfront, this small family — a couple and their lively one-and-a-half-year-old — believe their home should be a place of comfort and happiness. Mornings often start with laughter, and evenings are about gathering together over a good meal. Their approach is friendly yet respectful; you’ll find them kind-hearted, appreciative, and quick to share a smile (or a cup of tea). Fridays are treasured as family time, so you’ll always have the day off to rest and recharge.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Keep the home sparkling: cleaning, tidying, making beds, and handling day-to-day organizing so things run smoothly.
  • Assist with meal prep and simple cooking alongside the family — sometimes you’ll share new recipes or learn their favorites!
  • Offer a helping hand with the child: gentle supervision, occasional playtime, and ensuring a safe, cheerful environment.
  • Handle laundry, ironing, and maintaining order in storage areas.
  • Notice ways to make daily routines easier, stepping in where needed without waiting to be asked.
  • Communicate openly with the family about household needs or schedules.

What You’ll Bring

Must-Haves:

  • Previous experience in domestic work (especially with young children is a real plus).
  • A caring, trustworthy attitude — the family is searching for someone they can truly rely on.
  • Comfortable preparing and assisting with basic meals.
  • Able to speak and understand basic English or Arabic for smooth daily communication.
  • Willingness to work daily from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with Fridays always off.
  • Respectful of privacy and family routines.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience with babies or toddlers.
  • Sense of humor, patience, or even a knack for organizing small spaces.

Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Consistent hours with your evenings free — no overnights, no split shifts.
  • Every Friday off for yourself; the family values your well-being as much as their own.
  • Friendly, down-to-earth atmosphere — kindness and good communication are the norm here.
  • Located right on the Corniche: fresh air and scenic views on your way to work.
  • The chance to build a real connection with a respectful, appreciative family who trusts you.
  • Learn new recipes, share your own skills, and enjoy a varied day — no two weeks look quite the same.

You’ll be part of something more than a household; you’ll become a quiet but essential part of day-to-day family life, in a home where your efforts are noticed and truly valued.

Market-Based Salary Overview and Analysis

For a live-out housemaid position in Ras Al-Khaimah, especially with childcare responsibilities and some meal preparation, you should expect a salary of at least 2,000–2,500 AED per month. Similar roles in private households in the UAE often offer this range, sometimes slightly higher if you bring solid experience or special skills, and benefits like weekly days off are a positive sign of a respectful work environment. It's always good to discuss any previous experience with children or special household skills, as these can help you negotiate towards the higher end of the range.
