What You’ll Be Doing
- Overseeing the full spectrum of financial accounting, including general ledger management and month-end closings
- Preparing accurate, timely financial statements and reports for internal use and external stakeholders
- Taking the lead on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to help guide business decisions
- Ensuring compliance with UAE accounting standards and regulatory requirements at every step
- Coordinating with auditors and supporting annual audit processes with clear, organized documentation
- Reviewing and streamlining accounting processes for greater efficiency and accuracy
- Guiding junior team members and sharing your expertise when complex issues arise
- Communicating financial insights and recommendations with clarity, whether in a report or around the meeting table
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar accounting role, ideally within the UAE
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and UAE financial regulations
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software (think Tally, QuickBooks, or similar)
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and handle multiple priorities
Nice-to-Haves:
- Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CA) — or working towards one
- Prior experience in a DMCC or UAE free zone company
- Comfort presenting financial data to non-finance colleagues
- A knack for spotting process improvements
