What You’ll Be Doing
- Overseeing all site-based quality assurance and quality control activities for ongoing building construction projects
- Developing, reviewing, and implementing project-specific QA/QC plans to meet both client and regulatory requirements
- Conducting routine site inspections, identifying non-conformances, and driving corrective actions that stick
- Collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure quality expectations are clear and met
- Reviewing and approving materials, workmanship, and testing procedures to ensure alignment with project specs
- Preparing detailed reports, maintaining QA/QC documentation, and presenting findings during project meetings
- Taking a proactive role in mentoring and guiding junior QA/QC staff — you’ll be someone they look up to
- Serving as the go-to expert for all matters related to construction quality standards, compliance, and best practices
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- At least 10 years of hands-on QA/QC experience in building construction projects within the UAE
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering (Civil majors only, please)
- Solid track record working in the contracting sector, with deep familiarity with local regulations and standards
- Currently based in the UAE, ready to hit the ground running
- Strong communication and leadership skills — you know how to get your point across and earn respect on site
- Detail-oriented mindset with a knack for solving problems before they escalate
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience mentoring or training junior engineers
- Certifications in quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001)
