About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Introduction
Looking for a role where your craftsmanship truly stands out? We’re searching for experienced Senior Carpenters who thrive on building, shaping, and installing everything from striking exhibition booths to custom joinery that leaves a lasting impression. If you love seeing projects come to life under your hands — and you’re ready to put your skills to the test in dynamic environments — this could be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.
About the Company
We’re not your typical fabrication outfit. Our team is a blend of creative problem-solvers and detail-driven doers, a place where every project brings something fresh to the table. From industry expos with international buzz to local pop-ups that surprise and delight, we pride ourselves on building spaces that make people stop and stare (often in the best way). Fridays tend to end with team banter and stories from the week’s work — we think great results are built by people who genuinely enjoy what they do and who they do it with.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Execute custom carpentry and joinery work for exhibitions, trade shows, brand activations, and pop-up events — both in the workshop and directly on-site
- Interpret technical drawings and specs accurately, ensuring each build matches design intent
- Lead and mentor junior carpenters or assistants when the situation calls for it
- Problem-solve and adapt when challenges arise during on-site assembly or installation
- Maintain high standards of precision in cutting, assembling, finishing, and installing a variety of wooden structures and decorative elements
- Coordinate closely with project managers, designers, and other trades to hit deadlines (and deliver the “wow” factor clients expect)
- Safeguard project quality and safety at every stage, including setup and breakdown, sometimes outside normal hours
What You’ll Bring

- Proven experience in exhibition, event, or commercial fit-out carpentry — you can take a project from raw material to final installation without missing a beat

- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, measurements, and specifications
- Reliable, proactive on-site presence, with a “let’s find a way” mentality
- Commitment to safe working practices, especially in busy or shared venues
Nice-to-Haves
- Previous experience leading small teams or training less experienced carpenters
- Familiarity with bespoke finishes, specialty materials, or rapid-build environments
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various event locations
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
