About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Introduction
Are you someone who finds joy in turning a simple piece of fabric into something truly special? If you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for women’s fashion, this role could be your next creative adventure. We’re searching for an experienced Sewing and Detailing Specialist to join our team—a place where craftsmanship meets collaboration, and every stitch tells a story. If you thrive on precision and love working with diverse materials, you’ll feel right at home here.
About the Company
Our studio might not be the biggest in town, but we pride ourselves on our warmth and artistry. Think of us as a close-knit group of fashion enthusiasts who believe that good design starts with good people. We’re all about combining heritage techniques with fresh ideas, and our team lunches often turn into spontaneous brainstorming sessions (with fabric swatches strewn across the table, naturally). Here, every team member has a voice and a chance to shape the collections we’re so proud of.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Cutting, sewing, and finishing women’s garments with close attention to detail and accuracy.
- Selecting and handling a variety of fabrics—from delicate silks to structured cottons—ensuring the right technique for each.
- Bringing design sketches to life, interpreting patterns, and suggesting improvements where you see fit.
- Collaborating closely with designers and other makers to troubleshoot, share ideas, and keep projects moving.
- Checking your work at every step to guarantee quality and consistency—because you know the little things matter.
- Staying on top of time management so our clients always get their pieces on schedule.
- Occasionally sharing your skills with others on the team, whether it’s a new stitching method or tips for tricky fabrics.
