About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Ever considered what it’s like to be a calming presence for nervous pets and their humans, all while working alongside passionate animal care pros? As a Veterinary Assistant in our friendly Sharjah Al Sajja clinic, you’ll be right at the heart of every exam room drama, every wagging tail, every medical “aha!” moment. Whether you’re prepping for a routine check-up or comforting a furry friend post-surgery, this role is about more than just assisting — it’s about making a real difference, every single day.

About the Company

Tucked away in Sharjah’s vibrant Al Sajja district, our veterinary clinic prides itself on being more than just a medical facility — we’re a tight-knit team who genuinely loves what we do. Morning coffee runs and the occasional team lunch keep us bonded, while our open-door policy means you’ll never lack support or mentorship. We’re growing fast (turns out there are a lot of pets who need us!) but we’re committed to holding onto that small-team atmosphere, where your voice matters and your contributions shine.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Gently and confidently assist the veterinarian during exams, treatments, and minor procedures
  • Prepare exam rooms and lay out the right tools so the vet and patient have everything they need
  • Safely handle, restrain, and comfort animals — from anxious kittens to energetic pups — ensuring their safety and wellbeing
  • Keep equipment clean, organized, and ready for action (sterility matters here!)
  • Help maintain accurate patient records and ensure files/medications are where they should be
  • Lend a hand with general clinic upkeep to keep our space welcoming for all species

What You’ll Bring

Must-Haves:

  • Previous experience handling animals in a clinical, shelter, or similar environment
  • Comfort with basic medical equipment and willingness to learn new skills on the spot
  • Ability to calmly manage stressed or excited animals (and sometimes, their owners!)
  • A strong team mindset — you’re happiest working shoulder-to-shoulder with others

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Familiarity with veterinary software or electronic records
  • Basic knowledge of animal behavior or fear-free handling techniques
  • Bilingual skills (Arabic or English) for connecting with our diverse clientele

Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Supportive, close-knit team who genuinely root for each other’s growth
  • Opportunities to learn hands-on veterinary skills from great mentors
  • Flexible schedule options and understanding when life happens (yes, we get it—life with pets!)
  • Employee discounts for your own furry (or feathered) family members’ care
  • Clean, well-equipped clinic in a convenient Sharjah location
  • Plenty of daily pet cuddles — and the occasional puppy snuggle “break”

We believe in creating a space where animal lovers can thrive, grow, and build lasting friendships (with people and pets alike). Every day here is a little different, but it’s always purposeful — and never, ever dull.
