About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Ever wondered what it’s like to bring bold digital ideas to life—across both web and mobile? We’re on the lookout for a Professional Developer who’s passionate about building smart, beautiful applications that genuinely help people. This is more than just a coding gig: you’ll collaborate with creative minds, take ownership of your projects, and see your work make a real impact. If you thrive on variety and want to grow your skills with every launch, you’ll fit right in.

About the Company

We’re a fast-moving team that’s all about turning brilliant ideas into functional, delightful realities. Collaboration is at our core—no lone wolves here—and we believe the best work comes out of open feedback, curiosity, and a good sense of humor. Our crew spans designers, developers, and strategists, all invested in doing meaningful work (and yes, our Friday demo days tend to turn into mini-parties).

With us, you won’t be stuck maintaining legacy systems. We’re building at the frontier—new client features, fresh in-house tools, and products we’re genuinely proud of. If you like learning by doing (and maybe challenging the status quo once in a while), you’ll feel right at home.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Architecting and developing responsive web and mobile applications from idea to deployment.
  • Collaborating closely with designers to transform wireframes and user stories into sleek, intuitive interfaces.
  • Coding in JavaScript, React, Node.js, or similar modern tech—plus working across both frontend and backend as needed.
  • Contributing your voice in project discussions, brainstorming sessions, and daily standups (camera-on or off, your call).
  • Ensuring quality by writing clean, maintainable code and helping with code reviews.
  • Balancing fast iterations with rock-solid releases—meeting deadlines without cutting corners.
  • Experimenting with new tools and frameworks, and sharing what you learn with the rest of us.
  • Building your personal project portfolio alongside our biggest launches.

What You’ll Bring

Must-Haves:

  • Strong, hands-on experience building both web and mobile applications (show us what you’ve made!).
  • Advanced skills in JavaScript and at least one major framework—React, Node.js, or similar.
  • A sharp eye for modern UI/UX and a proven ability to translate ideas into user-friendly interfaces.
  • Comfort working independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Solid commitment to deadlines and delivering quality work.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • A busy GitHub, personal site, or portfolio to share.
  • Experience with other languages or frameworks (think: Flutter, Swift, or GraphQL).
  • Previous work in a startup or agency environment.
  • Familiarity with agile workflows and cloud deployments.

Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Flexible work setup: join us remotely or in a hybrid arrangement (your call).
  • Ownership of your work—your contributions shape entire products, not just corner features.
  • Annual learning stipend (yes, you can finally take that React Native deep dive or attend a UX bootcamp).
  • Regular team outings and the best virtual happy hours around.
  • Supportive vibes—no egos, just great people doing great work.
  • Clear career pathways, mentorship from senior devs, and real space to grow.

We care about building things right, nurturing talent, and having fun along the way. If this sounds like a place where your skills—and your sense of humor—might thrive, we hope you’ll join us!

Common Interview Questions and Tips

To help you prepare and feel confident, here are some questions you might encounter during the interview process for this role.

  • Can you walk us through one of your favorite web or mobile applications that you’ve built, highlighting the decisions you made around design and tech stack?
  • How do you approach architecting an app from the ground up—what steps do you take from initial idea through to deployment?
  • Tell us about your experience working with React and Node.js—what do you enjoy about these technologies, and where have they challenged you?
  • When collaborating with designers, how do you balance creative visions with technical limitations to create user-friendly interfaces?
  • Share an example of a time you iterated quickly on a feature without sacrificing code quality—what strategies or tools helped you achieve that balance?
  • If given wireframes and a set of user stories, how would you ensure your implementation aligns closely with both the design intent and user needs?
  • Describe an instance where you experimented with a new framework or tool. What did you learn, and how did you share your findings with your team?
  • Can you recall a moment in a project where open feedback led to a better final product? How did you navigate that conversation?
  • How do you adapt to working both independently and as part of a collaborative team? What helps you thrive in each setting?
  • Our workflow involves regular brainstorming and daily standups. What role do you usually play in such discussions, and how do you contribute to keeping things productive and open?
  • We value people who challenge the status quo. Can you tell us about a time you noticed a process or technology could be improved and took steps to drive that change?
  • Meeting deadlines is important, but so is maintaining quality. How do you keep yourself accountable and prioritize tasks when timelines get tight?
  • In a fast-moving, feedback-driven environment, how do you handle receiving critique on your work?
  • What drew you to apply to a team that prizes collaboration, curiosity, and a fun work culture? How do you see yourself adding to that environment?
