Responsibilities

As an Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health of the organization. Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing Financial Records: Maintain and update accurate financial records in compliance with company and local regulatory standards.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare, analyze, and interpret financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports for management review.
• VAT Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of VAT returns, and stay updated on UAE VAT laws and regulations.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Oversee invoicing, collections, and payment processing. Monitor accounts to ensure timely settlements and resolve discrepancies.
• Reconciliations: Perform regular bank, ledger, and account reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy.
• Software Utilization: Use QuickBooks and other accounting software for day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring data integrity and efficiency.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial planning to support business decision-making.
• Audits & Compliance: Support internal and external audits, and ensure adherence to statutory and internal compliance requirements.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes, enhancing accuracy and efficiency.

Requirements

To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and skills:

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Industry Experience: Proven accounting experience in the transportation and/or hospitality sectors in the UAE.
• Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in QuickBooks and familiarity with other leading accounting software.
• VAT Knowledge: Strong understanding of UAE VAT regulations and compliance procedures.
• Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Time Management: Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
• Immediate Availability: Candidates must be able to join immediately and be based in or willing to relocate to Mussafah, Abu Dhabi.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
• Adaptability: Willingness to adapt to changing business needs and work collaboratively within a diverse team.
