Responsibilities

As an Accountant within our organization, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our financial records. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Managing day-to-day financial transactions: Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Maintaining comprehensive financial records: Ensure all entries are properly recorded and documentation is systematically organized for auditing and reporting purposes.
• Preparing periodic financial reports: Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, budget analyses, and management reports.
• Ensuring regulatory compliance: Stay updated with UAE accounting standards and tax regulations, ensuring company practices adhere to all local laws.
• Coordinating with auditors: Facilitate annual audits, provide necessary documentation, and address auditor queries promptly.
• Utilizing accounting software: Efficiently operate Tally, QuickBooks, and other financial platforms for data entry, report generation, and account management.
• Supporting process improvements: Identify areas for enhancing financial procedures and recommend solutions to streamline workflow.
• Collaborating with internal teams: Work closely with project managers, procurement, and HR to ensure seamless financial operations across departments.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and skills:

• Professional experience: 3 to 7 years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably within the UAE contracting or construction industry.
• Technical proficiency: Advanced working knowledge of accounting software, specifically Tally and QuickBooks.
• Microsoft Office expertise: Excellent command of Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, pivot tables, and advanced formulas; familiarity with other Office applications is a plus.
• Educational background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA) are highly valued.
• Attention to detail: Strong analytical skills and a meticulous approach to maintaining accurate financial records.
• Communication skills: Ability to communicate financial information clearly and collaborate effectively with colleagues and management.
• Problem-solving ability: Proactive in identifying discrepancies and implementing effective solutions.
• Organizational skills: Capable of prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities under strict deadlines.
