Responsibilities

As a Cleaner, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks aimed at maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout our office premises. Your daily duties will include:

• Dusting furniture, fixtures, and equipment to prevent the build-up of dirt and allergens
• Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors to ensure all surfaces are free from debris and stains
• Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, including replenishing supplies and maintaining hygiene standards
• Washing windows and glass surfaces to enhance the office’s appearance and allow natural light to shine through
• Emptying waste bins and properly disposing of trash and recyclables
• Wiping down and disinfecting high-touch areas such as door handles, switches, and shared equipment
• Following a daily and weekly cleaning schedule to ensure no area is overlooked
• Reporting any maintenance or repair needs promptly to the appropriate personnel
• Complying strictly with health and safety guidelines as well as company policies
• Using cleaning agents and equipment safely and efficiently, in accordance with manufacturer instructions

Requirements

To excel in this role, the ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• Previous experience in a cleaner or janitorial role, preferably within office or commercial settings
• Understanding of safe cleaning practices and experience handling cleaning chemicals and equipment
• Strong attention to detail, ensuring every task is completed thoroughly
• Reliability and punctuality, with a consistent work ethic and a professional attitude
• Ability to follow instructions and adhere to established cleaning schedules and protocols
• Willingness to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks, which may involve standing, bending, and lifting
• Openness to feedback and a commitment to continuous improvement
