Responsibilities
As an Accountant at AlBarin Building Construction Company, you will play a key role in maintaining the company’s financial integrity and supporting its ongoing growth. Your core responsibilities will include:
- Managing comprehensive financial records: Accurately document all financial transactions, maintain ledgers, and ensure all documentation is up-to-date and audit-ready.
- Preparing timely financial statements and reports: Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial summaries, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
- Ensuring compliance with UAE tax regulations: Stay current with local tax laws and regulations, oversee VAT filings, and ensure all tax obligations are met without exception.
- Coordinating with auditors: Facilitate internal and external audits by providing detailed records and responding to auditors' queries.
- Budgeting and forecasting: Assist with the creation and monitoring of budgets, analyze variances, and provide actionable insights to management.
- Processing payments and managing payroll: Oversee accounts payable and receivable, invoice processing, and payroll administration to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Supporting management decisions: Provide financial data analysis to assist with strategic planning and operational decision-making.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:
- Educational background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications (such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) are a plus.
- Proven experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an accounting role, preferably within the construction or related industries.
- Tax expertise: In-depth knowledge of UAE tax regulations, including VAT compliance and reporting.
- Technical proficiency: Strong command of accounting software (such as Tally, QuickBooks, or SAP) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Attention to detail: Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities while upholding accuracy.
- Analytical mindset: Aptitude for financial analysis, problem-solving, and data interpretation.
- Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with the capacity to convey financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues.
