About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Business Manager — Where Talent Meets Strategy (Ajman & Dubai)
Ever wondered what happens behind the scenes of a growing media company — the person who finds the talent, trains them, and keeps the whole operation humming? That's exactly the role we're hiring for. We're looking for a Business Manager to take charge of agent training and host management across our Ajman and Dubai operations. If you speak both Chinese and English, know your way around Middle Eastern recruitment platforms, and get genuinely excited about social media, this could be the role you've been circling for a while.
About the Company
We're a media company that lives and breathes talent — on-screen and behind the scenes. Our hosts are the face of what we do, and our agents are the engine that keeps great people walking through the door. We're at that exciting stage where the team is growing fast, the training playbook is still being written, and every hire genuinely shapes how we work. Friday debriefs tend to run long here, mostly because people actually enjoy talking shop. If you like building systems from the ground up rather than inheriting a dusty manual, you'll fit right in.
What You'll Be Doing
- Train and onboard talent agents — we provide the training framework; you bring it to life and make it stick.
- Manage host relationships day to day, from first contact through ongoing performance check-ins.
- Work closely with talent agents across the region to keep the pipeline flowing and the quality high.
- Source and screen candidates using Middle Eastern job recruitment platforms you already know well.
- Coordinate between hosts, agents, and internal teams so nothing falls through the cracks.
- Keep a pulse on social media trends — what's working, what's not, and who's worth watching.
- Track performance and report back on what's working, what isn't, and where we should double down.
What You'll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Fluent in both Chinese and English — written and spoken, no compromises here.
- Familiarity with Middle Eastern job recruitment platforms and how hiring actually works in this market.
- Experience collaborating with talent agents or a similar intermediary role.
- Genuine interest in social media — not just as a user, but as someone who notices what's shifting.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Prior experience in media, entertainment, or talent management.
- A track record of training or coaching others (formally or informally).
- Comfort working across two locations — Ajman and Dubai.
Not sure you tick every box? We'd still love to hear from you. Skills can be taught; the right instincts and attitude are harder to find.
Why You'll Love Working Here
- Salary of AED 5,000–7,000, depending on experience.
- Full training provided — you won't be thrown in and left to figure it out alone.
- Work across Ajman and Dubai, two very different sides of the same fast-moving market.
- Real ownership — this isn't a role where you wait for permission to improve things.
- A team that actually talks to each other, not just through email threads.
- Room to grow as the company scales — early hires here tend to grow with it.
We're not going to promise ping-pong tables and nap pods. What we can promise is a role where your work is visible, your input matters, and the people around you are building something they care about. If that sounds like your kind of place, we'd genuinely like to meet you.
Common Interview Questions and Tips
To help you prepare and feel confident, here are some questions you might encounter during the interview process for this role.
- You'll be training talent agents using our existing framework. Walk me through how you'd make that training actually stick for someone who's new to the industry.
- What Middle Eastern recruitment platforms have you worked with, and how do you usually approach sourcing hosts or on-camera talent on them?
- Since you'll be juggling host management across Ajman and Dubai, how would you keep communication tight between hosts, agents, and internal teams without anything slipping?
- Tell me about a time you had to coach someone who wasn't hitting their targets. What did you do, and what was the outcome?
- How do you personally keep up with social media trends? Give me an example of a shift you noticed early and what you did with that insight.
- We're still writing the training playbook. Describe a time you built a process or system from scratch rather than inheriting one.
- You're screening candidates for a host role and two people look equally strong on paper. What do you dig into next, and why?
- Imagine a host you manage comes to you frustrated about their performance metrics. How do you handle that conversation?
- Tell me about a moment when you had to coordinate between several stakeholders with competing priorities. How did you keep everyone aligned?
- This role involves working across two very different markets. How do you adapt your approach when the same task plays out differently in Ajman versus Dubai?
- What draws you to a growing media company specifically, rather than a more established operation?
- How comfortable are you working in both Chinese and English day to day, especially when switching between them mid-conversation or in writing?
- When you think about the kind of team you do your best work in, what does that look like — and what kind of environment drains you?
