  • Occasionally guiding junior team members or pitching in with tricky builds—teamwork makes the dream work.

What You’ll Bring

Must-Haves:

Common Interview Questions and Tips

To help you prepare and feel confident, here are some questions you might encounter during the interview process for this role.

  • Can you walk us through your process for installing and configuring a new CCTV system at a client site, including how you ensure everything is secure and operational?
  • Tell me about a particularly tricky troubleshooting situation you’ve handled with either a security camera, alarm, or access control system. How did you identify and resolve the issue?
  • How comfortable are you working with low voltage wiring, and what safety precautions do you routinely take when handling electrical installations?
  • What methods do you use to integrate new security systems—like alarms or access controls—into existing building infrastructure without disrupting daily operations?
  • Have you ever worked with the installation or programming of automatic gates and vehicle barriers? If so, could you describe a project and your approach?
  • Can you explain your experience with satellite installation and programming? What unique challenges have you faced in that area?
  • Onsite, you’ll sometimes need to provide technical support directly to non-technical clients. How do you explain complex issues clearly and keep clients at ease?
  • Describe a time when you had to step in to guide a junior team member through a challenging installation. How did you balance supporting them while keeping the job on track?
  • Imagine you arrive at a client site and discover the provided system specs don’t match the actual environment. How would you handle that situation?
  • Being reliable is key here. Can you share an example of how you’ve ensured a project deadline was met, even when unexpected complications arose?
  • Our team values good humor and strong morale—what do you do to contribute to a positive atmosphere during long days in the field?
  • Training and upskilling are part of our culture. What’s a skill or certification you’d like to develop next, and why?
  • When working independently on a job, how do you prioritize tasks if multiple issues arise simultaneously?
  • Why are you interested in joining a close-knit company like Tareeq Al Aman instead of a larger, more corporate organization?

Market-Based Salary Overview and Analysis

You should expect a salary of at least 3,500–5,500 AED per month for a Security Systems & CCTV Technician role in Sharjah, especially if you have relevant hands-on experience and a valid UAE driving license. Technicians with specialized skills in systems integration, troubleshooting, and additional certifications (like SIRA) can sometimes negotiate towards the higher end of this range.
