Ever wondered what it’s like to bring the promise of high-tech living into real homes and businesses? If you’re someone who gets a kick out of smart gadgets, seamless automation, and solving those tricky wiring puzzles, you might be the exact Smart Home & CCTV Technician we’re looking for at Smart Casa. As more people embrace automated living, our team sits at the center of a fast-growing market—installing, troubleshooting, and enhancing the places where technology and everyday life meet. If that sounds like your kind of challenge, keep reading.
About the Company
At Smart Casa, we’re on a mission to make smart living accessible, secure, and—frankly—a whole lot of fun. Imagine a workplace where tinkering isn’t just accepted, it’s encouraged. We thrive on customer curiosity and satisfaction, often celebrating as a team when someone’s dream setup finally clicks into place (sometimes over impromptu pizza at the workshop). We’re still young, growing quickly, and every member gets a chance to shape how we work—whether it’s suggesting a new tool, or running demo sessions for new tech.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Installing and configuring smart home systems—everything from lighting controls to motion sensors and automated blinds.
- Planning and running wiring for both new builds and tricky retrofits (old walls don’t scare you).
- Setting up CCTV systems (especially Hikvision and Dahua), ensuring every angle is covered and footage is crisp.
- Troubleshooting connection issues, whether it’s a flickering smart bulb or a DVR that just won’t talk to the network.
- Guiding customers through their new systems—sometimes with a how-to tutorial, sometimes just by making tech less intimidating.
- Keeping up with the latest updates in smart home devices and sharing knowledge with the team during our Friday lunch-and-learns.
- Occasionally supporting the team on larger projects or urgent issues outside regular hours (with plenty of notice, of course).
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Proven hands-on experience with smart home systems (lighting, automation, sensors, etc.)
- Solid track record of installing and configuring CCTV systems
- Strong knowledge of electrical wiring, network setup, and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with brands like Hikvision and Dahua (you know your way around their settings and software)
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with other smart home platforms (e.g. Lutron, Control4, Fibaro)
- Certification in low-voltage wiring or related fields
- A knack for customer service—tech-savvy with a friendly face
- Comfortable making technical concepts simple for non-techy folks
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Competitive compensation—plus overtime and project bonuses when things get busy
- Flexible schedule—occasional remote days for troubleshooting support and admin work
- Tools, gear, and ongoing training provided (we geek out over the latest gadgets)
- Tight-knit, supportive team where your voice matters
- Career growth: as we expand, you’ll have opportunities to lead bigger projects or specializations
- A workplace culture that values curiosity, humor, and getting things right for our customers
We’re not just wiring homes—we’re wiring up the future, one smart solution at a time. If that excites you, you’ll fit right in.
