About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Two Roles, One Team — and We Need You Yesterday
We're hiring a Document Controller and a Storekeeper for our operations in Barsha, Dubai, and yes — we mean it when we say we need you yesterday. If you've been scrolling job boards hoping to find something stable, close to home, and actually worth your time, this might be the one. Both roles are full-time, on-site, and come with the kind of package that's getting harder to find in this city.
We're not a flashy tech startup or a multinational with a marble lobby. We're a working company that runs on tight schedules, accurate records, and people who show up ready to do the job. That's exactly why these two positions matter so much to us — and why we're moving fast to fill them.
About Us
We've built our reputation on getting things done without drama. Our team is small enough that everyone knows each other by name, but busy enough that no one's sitting around watching the clock. Most of our staff have been with us for years, which tells you something about how we treat people.
Barsha is home base, and honestly, it's a great spot — close to the metro, easy to reach from most parts of Dubai, and far enough from the chaos to actually enjoy your lunch break. We believe in fair pay, clear expectations, and respecting the people who keep our operation running.
What You'll Be Doing
For the Document Controller:
- Manage, file, and track all project and company documents — both digital and physical — so nothing gets lost, misfiled, or buried under a pile of papers.
- Keep version control tight. When a document gets updated, you're the one who makes sure everyone's working from the latest copy.
- Coordinate with project teams, suppliers, and management to make sure documents flow where they need to go, when they need to get there.
- Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, log it properly, and flag anything urgent.
- Support audits and internal reviews by pulling records quickly and accurately.
For the Storekeeper:
- Receive, inspect, and record all incoming materials and supplies — if it doesn't match the paperwork, you catch it before it becomes a problem.
- Keep the storeroom organized, clean, and accessible. You'll know where everything is, even when someone asks for that one obscure part.
- Maintain accurate stock records, track inventory levels, and flag when supplies are running low.
- Issue materials to the right people with proper documentation — no shortcuts, no guesswork.
- Coordinate with procurement and site teams to keep things moving without unnecessary delays.
What You'll Bring
Must-Haves:
- At least one year of hands-on experience in the same role — we're not looking for someone to train from scratch.
- You're currently inside the UAE. This one's non-negotiable, unfortunately.
- Basic computer skills — for the Document Controller role, familiarity with document management systems is a big plus. For the Storekeeper role, you should be comfortable with inventory logs and basic record-keeping.
- A reliable, organized approach to work. You notice details other people miss, and you don't need to be reminded twice.
- Good communication skills — you'll be coordinating with different teams daily.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience in construction, logistics, or a similar industry.
- Knowledge of UAE compliance and documentation standards.
- A valid UAE driver's license (helpful, but not required).
Not sure you tick every box? We'd still love to hear from you. Sometimes the right person doesn't match a checklist perfectly — and that's fine by us.
Why You'll Love Working Here
- Salary between AED 2,800 and AED 3,500 — paid on time, every time.
- Free visa and accommodation provided. That's one less thing to worry about in a city where rent eats most of your paycheck.
- All other benefits as per UAE labour law — we follow the rules, plain and simple.
- Open to any nationality. We care about what you can do, not where you're from.
- A stable, long-term role with a team that values reliability over politics.
- Barsha location — easy to reach, whether you drive or take the metro.
Look, we're not going to promise you a rooftop pool or a ping-pong table. What we offer is steady work, fair treatment, and a team that actually respects what you bring to the table. In a city full of job listings that sound identical, we'd rather just be honest: we need good people, and we're ready to take care of them.
If either of these roles sounds like you, don't overthink it — send your CV to Apply and let's talk.
Common Interview Questions and Tips
To help you prepare and feel confident, here are some questions you might encounter during the interview process for this role.
- Walk me through how you currently manage version control on a document. What's your process when a drawing or contract gets revised and you need to make sure everyone's working from the latest copy?
- Imagine you're the Storekeeper and a delivery arrives with a discrepancy between the packing list and what's actually on the truck. What do you do next?
- Tell me about a time you caught a mistake that someone else had missed. What was it, and what happened as a result?
- For the Document Controller role: which document management systems have you used, and how comfortable are you setting up a filing structure from scratch?
- How do you handle it when three different people need the same document or material at the same time, and everyone says theirs is urgent?
- Describe your approach to keeping a storeroom organized. How do you make sure you can find an obscure part quickly, even months after it was received?
- Give me an example of a time you had to coordinate between two teams that weren't communicating well. How did you get things moving?
- What does your daily routine look like in your current role? How do you stay on top of logging, filing, and follow-ups without letting things slip?
- Tell me about a time you were under pressure to skip a step — maybe someone wanted materials issued without proper documentation. How did you handle it?
- This role involves daily coordination with project teams, suppliers, and management. How would your last supervisor describe your communication style?
- What keeps you motivated in a role where the work is steady and detail-oriented rather than flashy? Be honest with me.
- Why are you looking to move right now, and what would make you want to stay somewhere for the long term?
