Responsibilities

As an Electrical Engineer, you will be entrusted with a variety of critical tasks, combining your technical proficiency with proactive project management skills. Your responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing the day-to-day execution of electrical and plumbing projects at various sites across Dubai, ensuring that all activities align with project specifications and timelines.
• Preparing detailed Single Line Diagrams (SLD), comprehensive shop drawings, and accurate electrical load schedules using AutoCAD and other relevant software.
• Coordinating with architects, contractors, and other engineering professionals to integrate electrical systems seamlessly within broader construction projects.
• Conducting site inspections to monitor progress, verify installation standards, and address any technical challenges that arise during project execution.
• Ensuring full compliance with local codes, international standards, and safety regulations throughout all project phases.
• Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and site staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and quality improvement.
• Preparing regular progress reports and documentation for senior management and clients, highlighting achievements, challenges, and proposed solutions.
• Liaising with suppliers and vendors to source quality materials and equipment, balancing cost-effectiveness with performance requirements.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you should bring a blend of technical acumen, practical experience, and proactive problem-solving abilities. The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven experience managing electrical and plumbing projects on-site, preferably within the UAE or GCC region.
• Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD, with the ability to develop and interpret SLDs, shop drawings, and electrical load schedules.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction methodologies, and engineering standards relevant to the UAE.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• A valid UAE driver’s license, enabling site visits and project supervision across multiple locations (preference given to candidates who meet this requirement).
• High attention to detail and a passion for delivering work of the highest quality within set deadlines.
