Responsibilities

As an Electrical Design Engineer within our consultant design office, you will be entrusted with a range of critical tasks, including:

• Design Development: Create comprehensive electrical layout designs for residential, commercial, and industrial projects, ensuring all plans adhere to local codes and project specifications.
• Load Schedules: Prepare detailed load schedules that accurately reflect project requirements, optimizing energy distribution and system reliability.
• Single-Line Diagrams: Develop precise single-line diagram schematics for all electrical systems, ensuring clarity and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Calculations & Analysis: Perform thorough calculations for load, voltage drop, short-circuit capacity, and other necessary parameters to guarantee safe and efficient system operation.
• Technical Documentation: Prepare, review, and update all technical documents and drawings as required throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordination: Collaborate closely with architects, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate electrical systems seamlessly within overall building designs.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs and layouts comply with UAE electrical design codes, DEWA regulations, and industry best practices.
• Quality Assurance: Participate in design reviews, internal audits, and quality checks to uphold the highest standards of engineering excellence.
• Client Interaction: Engage professionally with clients when required, presenting technical solutions and addressing any design-related queries.

Requirements

To thrive in this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Experience: 1–5 years of hands-on electrical design experience within a UAE-based consulting environment.
• Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in preparing electrical layouts, load schedules, and single-line diagrams, supported by a strong understanding of relevant design software (such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar platforms).
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
• Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth familiarity with UAE electrical codes, DEWA requirements, and local authority approval processes.
• Attention to Detail: Exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for accuracy in calculations and technical documentation.
• Communication: Effective verbal and written communication abilities for coordination with internal teams and external partners.
• Team Player: Proven track record of working collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams, contributing positively to project outcomes.
• Eligibility: Only candidates with previous UAE electrical design consulting experience will be considered for this role.
