About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Ever found yourself lighting up with excitement when explaining tech basics — or the latest gadget — to a curious friend? As our new IT Instructor, you’ll get to channel that energy into shaping the next generation of digital natives right here in Barsha Heights, Dubai. This isn’t just another teaching job; it’s a chance to bring your IT expertise to a diverse classroom, create hands-on learning experiences, and inspire practical confidence in a world that runs on technology. If you love translating the complex into something students can really grasp, you might just find your perfect fit with us.

About the Company

Our school in Barsha Heights has always seen technology as more than a subject: here, it’s woven into the fabric of everyday learning. We’re a supportive, forward-thinking team that’s as enthusiastic about Friday “show and tell” sessions as we are about challenging our students to build their own projects. Whether it’s coding a simple game or tinkering with hardware, we value creativity, critical thinking, and mutual respect. Growth — both for students and staff — is at the heart of what we do, and collaboration is more than a buzzword; it’s how we work, learn, and laugh together.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Designing and delivering engaging IT lessons that span basic computer skills to advanced concepts, like networks and security.
  • Preparing thoughtful lesson plans, multimedia presentations, and hands-on activities that make abstract concepts click for every learner.
  • Leading practical training sessions on computer applications, hardware assembly, networking, and common software tools — making sure students aren’t just prepared for exams, but for real life.
  • Actively monitoring student progress, offering guidance and feedback that helps each individual thrive, regardless of their starting point.
  • Maintaining a positive, well-organized classroom environment where focus, curiosity, and mutual respect can flourish.
  • Keeping up-to-date with the latest in IT education trends — and sharing your own discoveries during our weekly department brainstorming breakfasts.

What You’ll Bring

Must-Haves:

  • Solid foundation in IT concepts, including hardware, software, and networking
  • Experience teaching or training, preferably in a school or similar setting
  • Clear, approachable communication style — you make the complicated seem simple
  • Organized, patient, and adaptable in a classroom environment
  • A genuine enthusiasm for learning (and sharing that enthusiasm with others)
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive, respectful classroom culture

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Certification in IT or education (think: CompTIA, Microsoft, or a teaching credential)
  • Experience developing interactive learning materials
  • Familiarity with the UAE education system
  • A knack for troubleshooting tech in real time (sometimes with an audience!)

Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Competitive salary and annual bonus structure
  • Private health insurance
  • Supportive, tight-knit team where your voice genuinely matters
  • Regular opportunities for professional development (plus funding for IT certifications)
  • A classroom equipped with modern devices and resources
  • Flexible working hours plus generous annual leave
  • Located in vibrant Barsha Heights — close to public transport, great coffee, and after-school energy

We know true passion for IT and teaching can’t always be captured in a checklist — which is why we look forward to discovering what you’ll bring, and how you’ll help our students (and staff) learn something new every day.

Common Interview Questions and Tips

To help you prepare and feel confident, here are some questions you might encounter during the interview process for this role.

  • Can you walk us through a lesson you’ve designed or delivered that turned a complex IT concept into something hands-on and accessible for beginners?
  • How would you approach teaching basic networking fundamentals to a group with varying skill levels?
  • Describe a time you incorporated multimedia or interactive tools to enhance understanding in your classroom or training sessions.
  • What strategies do you use to keep students engaged during lessons on hardware assembly or software applications?
  • How do you stay current with IT trends and integrate them into your teaching practice?
  • Imagine a student is struggling repeatedly with a technical skill, such as troubleshooting network issues. How would you support them while maintaining the flow of your lesson?
  • Give an example of how you’ve adapted your teaching style on the spot in response to unexpected challenges or differing student needs.
  • Tell us about a time you contributed to a collaborative project or brainstorming session with colleagues. What role did you play, and what did you learn?
  • This role values growth for both students and staff. How do you seek out and share new knowledge or teaching methods with your team?
  • Our school emphasizes a respectful, inclusive classroom. What are your top priorities for creating that kind of environment?
  • How would you handle a situation where a student disrupts a practical session—perhaps out of frustration with a technical task?
  • Can you share how you make students feel comfortable asking questions, even when they think something might be “obvious” or basic?
  • Why do you think hands-on learning is important for IT education, and how would you champion that in your classroom?
