About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Ever wondered what happens behind the scenes when a team keeps dozens of construction sites, warehouses, and office teams connected, secure, and online? As our next IT Specialist, you won’t just keep computers humming — you’ll be the backbone of our digital operations, ensuring everyone from project managers to engineers can do their best work without tech headaches. If you thrive on solving real-world IT challenges and want to see the direct impact of your support, you might just feel right at home here.

About Us

We’re a rapidly growing glass and aluminum installation company with projects stretching across the UAE skyline. Our work isn’t just about steel and glass; it’s about bringing people and ideas together, both on the ground and behind the screens. You’ll find our team swapping stories over strong coffee, proudly sharing site photos, and always quick with a “let me help you with that.” We’re big believers in hands-on problem-solving, knowledge sharing, and investing in each other’s growth—technology is at the core of making that happen.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Managing and maintaining all company computer systems, servers, and networks to keep operations running smoothly
  • Providing friendly, timely support to end users across multiple locations—expect everything from urgent troubleshooting to patient guidance
  • Diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, whether remote or hands-on at our sites/offices
  • Overseeing cybersecurity and ensuring systems are up-to-date, secure, and compliant
  • Coordinating with vendors and service providers (internet, software, hardware) when needed
  • Supporting the rollout of new tools, software, and technology upgrades across the company
  • Keeping detailed records of IT assets, passwords, licenses, and support tickets
  • Proactively suggesting improvements to increase efficiency and strengthen our digital backbone

What You’ll Bring

Must-Haves:

  • Demonstrated hands-on experience in IT management, system/network maintenance, and end-user support
  • Strong troubleshooting skills—patience, persistence, and a knack for demystifying tech
  • Experience handling IT operations in a multi-location company or a similar challenging environment
  • Working knowledge of common IT infrastructure (Windows environments, basic networking, email, cybersecurity)
  • Good communication and documentation habits (you know when to send a screenshot and when to hop on a call)
  • Previous experience in the UAE IT sector or construction support is a big plus

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Familiarity with construction management or ERP software
  • Certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco), though we value real-world skills just as much

Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you—sometimes the best fits come from unexpected places.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Competitive salary and benefits that reflect your experience and the value you bring
  • A supportive, collaborative environment—where your IT expertise is genuinely appreciated and never taken for granted
  • Opportunities to see the full impact of your work: from site safety to project delivery and beyond
  • Hybrid work flexibility—onsite where it counts, remote when you need focus time (role-specific, let’s talk)
  • Real career development: we’re growing fast, and there’s always room for more responsibility if you want it
  • Team outings, lunch breaks that turn into brainstorm sessions, and the chance to contribute your ideas directly to leadership

Here, your work keeps our people connected and our projects moving—no two days are exactly the same, and your role is pivotal to everyone’s success.

Common Interview Questions and Tips

To help you prepare and feel confident, here are some questions you might encounter during the interview process for this role.

  • Can you walk us through how you would troubleshoot a company-wide network outage affecting both office and construction site teams?
  • Describe your process for diagnosing and resolving a persistent hardware or software issue that keeps resurfacing for multiple users across different locations.
  • In your previous roles, how have you prioritized and managed support tickets when dealing with urgent requests from a range of departments?
  • What steps do you take to ensure all systems remain up-to-date and secure, particularly across physically dispersed teams and mobile devices?
  • Have you ever been involved in rolling out a new ERP or construction management tool? What challenges did you face, and how did you ensure user adoption?
  • Tell us about a time you coordinated with external vendors (like internet or hardware providers) to resolve a critical IT issue. How did you ensure minimal disruption to daily operations?
  • How do you keep track of company IT assets, passwords, licenses, and documentation to make sure nothing slips through the cracks, especially as the company grows?
  • Share an example of how you spotted an opportunity to improve IT processes or efficiency and how you implemented that change.
  • Describe a situation where you had to patiently guide a less tech-savvy colleague through resolving their IT problem, either remotely or on-site.
  • What motivates you most about supporting teams in fast-paced, hands-on industries like construction or field services?
  • How do you stay current with trends in cybersecurity and identify potential vulnerabilities in your company’s setup?
  • Our team values knowledge sharing and collaboration—can you tell us about a time you contributed to a positive team culture or helped train others on new technology?
  • How do you balance on-site presence with remote support, and what strategies do you use to keep communication clear and effective across locations?
  • What excites you about joining a company where your IT work makes a visible, daily impact on projects and people?

Market-Based Salary Overview and Analysis

You should expect a salary of at least 7,000–10,000 AED per month for an IT Specialist role of this scope in the UAE construction sector, especially given the hands-on responsibilities across multiple sites and the need for both technical and practical troubleshooting skills. Candidates with several years’ experience or relevant certifications (like Microsoft, Cisco, or CompTIA) may reasonably negotiate towards the upper end or slightly above this range, particularly if they have prior exposure to multi-location operations or supporting construction teams.
