About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Looking for a New Adventure in 2024? Join Our Family as a Live-In Housemaid
Are you ready to step into a caring household and make a meaningful difference every day? We’re searching for a responsible, proactive live-in housemaid to become a valued member of our busy family home in Al Shamkha, Abu Dhabi. Starting in January, this unique role is ideal for someone who thrives on keeping a home happy and harmonious, loves spending time with children, and brings genuine experience — especially with Arab families. If that sounds like you, and you’re seeking a welcoming place to call your second home, we’d love to hear from you.
About Our Family
We pride ourselves on creating a warm, supportive atmosphere where mutual respect guides every interaction. Our household appreciates the little things — a delicious meal shared at the table, laughter in the halls, and weekly moments to connect and unwind. Having worked with wonderful housemaids before, we know how significant your role is to the heart of our home. We value kindness, open communication, and a spirit of teamwork (we’ve even been known to turn Saturday chores into mini dance parties!).
What You’ll Be Doing
- Keeping our living spaces clean, tidy, and comfortable — from daily dusting to that extra sparkle before family celebrations
- Preparing simple and healthy meals; we love home-cooked food and sharing new recipes together
- Lending a caring hand with childcare: from school runs to reading stories and supervising playtime
- Assisting with laundry, ironing, and organizing wardrobes thoughtfully
- Creating a cheerful, reliable presence in the household — your positive attitude will mean the world to us
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- A valid visa (own sponsorship only)
- Experience working as a housemaid (including cleaning, cooking, and looking after children)
- Previous experience with Arab families — you know what matters in a cultural context
- Christian faith (as requested by our family needs)
- Under 30 years old
- Reliable, trustworthy, and good with children
- Willingness to provide a short introduction video (applications without videos cannot be considered)
- No agencies, please — we are looking for someone who wants a real connection, not a transaction
Nice-to-Haves:
- Comfort speaking basic English or Arabic
- Ability to share your own family-favorite recipes
- Sense of humor and a gentle approach with kids
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Comfortable live-in accommodation in a safe, peaceful suburb of Abu Dhabi
- All meals provided, plus time off to relax and recharge
- Supportive, friendly atmosphere where your work is cherished — you’re not just “staff,” you’re part of our family
- Consistent routine with space for personal time
- Open, honest communication and genuine appreciation for your efforts
We believe everyone deserves to feel respected and at home. If you’re looking for a sincere place to grow, connect, and make a difference, then let’s start with your video introduction — and hopefully, a warm welcome in January!
