About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Ever found yourself captivated by the inner workings of a world-class hotel? Rove Hotel on The Palm Jumeirah is ramping up its Maintenance team — and we’re looking for hands-on problem solvers to keep our iconic property running smoothly. Whether you’re an experienced electrician, a skilled plumber, an AC guru, or eager to learn as a helper, there’s a place here for you to grow your skills (and see just what goes on behind the scenes at one of Dubai’s most dynamic hospitality brands).

About Rove Hotel the Palm

Nestled on the legendary Palm Jumeirah, Rove Hotel isn’t just a place to stay; it’s an energetic hub for travelers, creators, and locals alike. Our team thrives on curiosity, humor, and a bit of quirky charm (team breakfasts and impromptu laughs are all part of the daily routine). As part of Rove’s family, you’ll join a group that believes in rolling up their sleeves, sharing ideas, and helping each other succeed — all while enjoying a front-row seat to Dubai’s ever-changing skyline.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Diagnose and repair electrical systems in guest rooms and public areas, ensuring safety and comfort for all.
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot plumbing fixtures — from rapid fixes to scheduled upgrades, your expertise keeps things flowing (literally).
  • Service and maintain AC units to ensure the perfect climate for our guests, even in the Dubai summer heat.
  • Assist senior technicians with routine checks, emergency repairs, and scheduled maintenance — learning is actively encouraged.
  • Respond to guest or internal staff maintenance requests quickly and with a positive attitude; sometimes a smile is as important as the tool kit!
  • Help keep equipment and workspaces organized and safe, following both hotel and local standards.
  • Participate in regular team huddles (and the coffee breaks that follow) to share knowledge, brainstorm fixes, and swap success stories.

What You’ll Bring

Must-Haves:

  • Basic knowledge or experience in one of the following: electrical work, plumbing, AC maintenance, or general repair
  • A positive, can-do approach — technical skills matter, but so do teamwork and reliability
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings or weekends as needed
  • Currently residing in the UAE
  • Ability to communicate basic instructions in English with guests and colleagues

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Prior hospitality or hotel maintenance experience
  • Familiarity with safety protocols, or a genuine desire to learn them on the job
  • Any technical certifications (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.)

Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Free accommodation, visa, and transport — no hidden costs and no long commutes
  • Competitive starting salary (AED 2,500–4,000) with room to grow as you gain experience
  • Opportunities to learn from experienced pros, regardless of whether you’re a seasoned technician or just beginning your career
  • Supportive, multicultural team that values learning, laughter, and helping each other out
  • See the ins and outs of a busy hotel on The Palm Jumeirah every day (the views definitely don’t hurt)
  • Enjoy a real sense of belonging and the chance to make a visible impact

Here, your effort is noticed and appreciated — and who knows, your next big step could start right in the heart of Dubai’s hospitality scene.
