What You’ll Be Doing
- Constructing and repairing structures using bricks, blocks, and other masonry materials
- Preparing surfaces, mixing mortar, and laying foundations with attention to the smallest details
- Ensuring alignment and structural integrity for every project assigned
- Collaborating with supervisors, fellow masons, and helpers to keep jobs running smoothly
- Keeping the worksite safe, clean, and organized — like you’d want it for your own project
- Occasionally mentoring less experienced team members (if you’re the sort who likes to lend a hand)
- Adapting to various building tasks as projects evolve — every site has its surprises!
What You’ll Bring
- At least 1–2 years of hands-on masonry experience (residential or commercial buildings)
- Familiarity with common tools: trowels, levels, jointers — you know your way around them
- Basic understanding of safety practices on construction sites
- Willingness to work full-time and adapt to changing site needs
