About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Ever wished you could make a real difference in a child’s life while working in a warm, welcoming household? We’re searching for a compassionate, attentive nanny for our lively 2-year-old daughter here in Al Raha Beach—but we see this as so much more than “just” a job. We’re hoping to find someone who will become a true companion and friend to her, someone who’s genuinely present and joyful in play, conversation, and everyday moments together. If you’re someone who cherishes the little things (storytime, sidewalk chalk, impromptu kitchen dance parties), you’ll feel right at home with us.
About Our Family
Think of us as a tight-knit, easygoing bunch who love creating a cozy, laughter-filled space. Our home acts as both a haven and a hub, full of warmth and gentle routines. We believe a home runs happiest when everyone pitches in, shares, and cares—not just for the tasks, but for each other. Our daughter is curious, funny, and absolutely adores being with people who “get down on the floor” with her. We don’t just want help; we want someone who feels like part of the family.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Spending quality time with our 2-year-old: Play, talk, read stories, explore outside, and foster her love of learning and discovery.
- Being a gentle and supportive presence: Offer comfort, patience, and thoughtful guidance through daily routines and new experiences.
- Assisting with daily care: Meal prep and occasional feeding, keeping her safe and comfortable, and supporting nap/bedtime routines.
- Helping keep our home cozy: Tidy up play areas, handle light cleaning, simple laundry, and general housekeeping to help us all stay organized.
- Pitching in as needed: We value a “team player” approach—if you notice something that needs doing, your initiative will be greatly appreciated!
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Genuine love for children and a creative, energetic spirit—our daughter will thrive with someone who is engaged and playful
- Patience, kindness, and the emotional maturity to support a toddler’s growing independence and emotions
- Basic experience caring for young children (family, friends, or in a prior role)
- Willingness to help with general household tasks—no job is “too small”
- Ability to communicate clearly and openly with us
Nice-to-Haves:
- Previous nanny, babysitter, or childcare experience (even if informal)
- Confidence with basic meal prep, light cleaning, and housekeeping
- Ability to speak a second language or share a passion/hobby (music, painting, sports—surprises welcome!)
Not sure you tick every box? If your heart’s in the right place, we’d still love to hear from you.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- A truly welcoming environment: You’ll quickly feel like part of the family, supported and appreciated every day.
- Meaningful connections: The chance to form a deep bond with a wonderful little girl (and her grateful parents).
- No two days the same: Play, create, explore—a job that’s never, ever boring!
- Work-life balance we actually mean: We understand the importance of respect—for your time, your needs, and your wellbeing.
- Competitive, fair pay based on experience
- Flexible scheduling options
- All holidays and breaks observed (family time matters to us, too)
We’re looking for someone who values kindness and connection as much as we do. If you’re ready for a role that feels as rewarding as it is important, we can’t wait to meet you.
Common Interview Questions and Tips
To help you prepare and feel confident, here are some questions you might encounter during the interview process for this role.

- How do you approach helping young children navigate big emotions and new experiences?
- Walk me through how you’d plan and structure a typical day with a lively 2-year-old.
- Tell us about a time you noticed something needed to be done around a home you were working in (perhaps outside your official tasks)—how did you handle it?
- What steps would you take to encourage a toddler’s curiosity and love of learning during everyday routines or playtime?
- If our daughter resisted nap or bedtime routines, how would you help create a calm and comforting transition?
- Can you give an example of a challenging childcare moment you’ve faced and how you responded?
- How do you balance being energetic and playful with maintaining gentle boundaries and safety?
- How would you communicate with us if you had a concern or needed clarification about our daughter’s care or daily routines?
- Our family values kindness and teamwork in the home. What does “pitching in” mean to you, and how have you put that into practice before?
- Do you have any special interests (like music, crafts, or sports) you’d enjoy sharing with a child?
- What do you think helps a nanny truly feel like part of the family, rather than just an employee?
- When you think about supporting a family’s routines and well-being, what small details do you pay attention to?
