About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Ever wondered what it’s like to spend your mornings surrounded by purring cats while making a real difference? If you’re searching for a part-time role where your love for animals is a true asset, this could be the perfect fit. We’re looking for a dedicated Cleaner to help keep our cat shelter in Al Rawda 1, Ajman, spotless and welcoming — both for our furry residents and the people who care for them. This isn’t your average cleaning job; it’s a chance to support animal welfare while working just the first part of your day.
About Us
We’re not a big organization — more like a tight-knit team with a big heart. Our villa-turned-cat-shelter is a lively hub, home to cats with unique personalities and stories. Every day brings a bit of unpredictability (and a fair bit of cat hair). You’ll find our team chatting over morning coffee while reviewing the day’s cleaning plan — and it’s not uncommon for a curious kitten to “help out.” Above all, we value genuine compassion for animals and a sense of responsibility toward the community we serve.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Cleaning villa rooms, common areas, and all cat-friendly spaces so everything’s fresh and welcoming
- Sweeping, mopping, and dusting floors (fur tends to find its way everywhere)
- Tidying and organizing feeding, play, and sleeping areas — making sure cats have a comfortable space to relax
- Washing bowls, litter trays, and bedding regularly, always keeping hygiene top of mind
- Helping with general housekeeping, such as wiping down surfaces and keeping supplies stocked
- Reporting any maintenance needs or health concerns about the cats or facility as you spot them
What You’ll Bring
- A genuine love of animals, especially cats — their quirks should amuse you, not annoy you!
- Comfort working in an environment where pets are always nearby (sometimes underfoot)
- Good time management and an eye for detail (you’ll notice when something’s not quite clean)
- Reliability and punctuality — our cats appreciate routine
- Some experience with cleaning or housekeeping is helpful, but not required
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- A meaningful job: Your work directly improves the lives of rescued cats every single day
- Friendly, supportive team who shares your love for animals (and will happily share cleaning tips, too)
- Consistent morning shift (8:00 AM – 1:00 PM), so your afternoons are always free
- Training provided, especially if you’re newer to caring for animals
- The little things: free coffee, the occasional treat, and endless cat cuddles on your breaks
You’ll leave each day knowing you made a difference — and the gratitude of a few dozen happy tails is hard to beat.
