What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading the full cycle of large-scale road, highway, and bridge projects — from groundbreaking to final inspection.
- Developing detailed project execution plans, timelines, and resource allocations tailored to each contract’s unique demands.
- Overseeing day-to-day site operations and partnering closely with engineers, foremen, and subcontractors.
- Building and managing project budgets, ensuring meticulous tracking of costs, procurement, and billing milestones.
- Coordinating with municipal authorities and key stakeholders to ensure all regulatory requirements are met on schedule.
- Identifying and actively managing project risks, from shifting deadlines to unexpected site challenges (because there’s always a surprise or two).
- Championing a culture of safety and quality at every phase — no cutting corners here.
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or closely related field).
- 8–15 years of hands-on experience managing road, highway, bridge, or complex infrastructure construction projects.
- Deep knowledge of construction planning, project execution strategies, and budgeting.
- Excellent leadership skills and the ability to motivate teams through challenges both big and small.
- Strong communication — both for the boardroom and the job site.
- A knack for problem-solving under pressure and adapting to changing priorities.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Familiarity with the latest infrastructure technologies or green construction practices.
- Professional certifications (PMP, RICS, etc.).
- Previous experience working with government or major civic projects in the UAE/GCC.
