About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Ever wondered what it’s like to see a project come together — and know you’ve safeguarded its quality every step of the way? As a QA/QC Engineer based in the UAE, you’ll play a pivotal role in making sure our works don’t just meet expectations, but raise the bar for what “good enough” looks like. In today’s fast-paced construction environment, your keen eye and commitment to standards will turn blueprints into buildings we can all be proud of.

About the Company

We’re not just another construction firm churning through projects — we genuinely believe the details matter. Our teams are a mix of seasoned veterans and enthusiastic newcomers, all united by a passion for creating spaces that stand the test of time. Culture? Think open dialogue, hands-on mentorship, and the kind of cross-team lunches where engineers and site crews actually swap stories (and occasionally, lunch recipes). We’re steady, ambitious, and quietly proud of the impact our work has on the skyline.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Monitoring and inspecting active construction work to verify adherence to quality and safety standards — you’ll catch the small stuff before it becomes a big problem.
  • Reviewing material submittals and method statements, making sure what’s on paper lines up with what’s on the ground.
  • Coordinating inspections with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders; sometimes this means nudging busy folks, or translating technical jargon on the fly.
  • Preparing clear, concise quality documentation and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) so everyone’s on the same page.
  • Staying up-to-date with contract specifications and ensuring every stage of work ticks all the right boxes.
  • Sometimes, stepping up to troubleshoot and resolve on-site quality issues before they escalate.

What You’ll Bring

Must-Haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in construction quality assurance and/or quality control — ideally within the UAE or GCC region.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards, contract specs, and local regulations.
  • Confidence working with technical documentation (method statements, material submittals, inspection reports, etc.).
  • Excellent communication skills — you’re as comfortable on-site as in a meeting room.
  • Attention to detail and a knack for spotting what others miss.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards or similar quality management systems.
  • Previous experience working directly with consultants or client-side engineers.
  • Proficiency in construction management software.
  • Professional certifications (CSWIP, BGAS, PMP) are a welcome bonus.

Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Competitive salary package tailored to your experience and expertise.
  • Health insurance and annual leave — because balance matters.
  • Support for certifications and professional growth (we’ll help you get there).
  • Collaborative, respectful atmosphere — your input will actually shape policy.
  • Transparent communication from management (and yes, you’ll get credit for your wins).
  • Regular team get-togethers and knowledge-sharing sessions.
  • Convenient UAE location, with many roles offering some site flexibility.

Here, your work will be recognized and your skills will keep growing. You’ll be joining a team that cares deeply about doing things the right way — every time.

Common Interview Questions and Tips

To help you prepare and feel confident, here are some questions you might encounter during the interview process for this role.

  • Can you walk me through your process for inspecting active construction sites and ensuring compliance with both quality and safety standards?
  • When reviewing material submittals and method statements, what specific checks or criteria do you prioritize to catch potential issues early?
  • Have you managed the preparation and coordination of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)? Could you share an example of how you handled a particularly challenging NCR?
  • What experience do you have with the ISO 9001 quality management system or similar standards, and how have you applied these guidelines on your previous projects?
  • How do you ensure that construction works align with contract specifications and local UAE regulations, especially when requirements change mid-project?
  • Can you give an example of a time you successfully resolved a quality issue on-site before it escalated? What steps did you take, and how did you secure buy-in from stakeholders?
  • Describe a situation where you had to bridge communication gaps between consultants, clients, and site teams. How did you ensure everyone was on the same page?
  • How do you adapt your inspection or documentation approach when juggling multiple stakeholders and tight project timelines?
  • Tell me about a time you had to deliver tough feedback regarding quality issues to a seasoned team member. How did you approach it, and what was the outcome?
  • Collaboration is part of our DNA. Can you describe how you’ve contributed to a truly cross-functional team environment on a previous project?
  • What strategies do you use to stay organized and detail-oriented when preparing technical documents or inspection reports?
  • How do you stay updated with latest industry standards, and how do you share that knowledge with your colleagues?
  • Our company values open dialogue and input from all team members. Can you give an example of when your ideas influenced a process or policy in your former workplace?
  • What motivates you to pursue a role focused on quality assurance and control within the construction industry, especially in a team that blends mentorship and continual learning?

Market-Based Salary Overview and Analysis

For a mid-level QA/QC Engineer role in the UAE construction sector, you should expect a salary in the range of 8,000–13,000 AED per month, depending on your years of experience and professional certifications. Candidates with specialized skills, UAE/GCC experience, or relevant certifications like CSWIP or PMP may see offers at the higher end of this range or slightly above. Similar roles typically include additional benefits such as health insurance and annual leave, so be sure to factor those into your negotiations.
