About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Ever pictured yourself as the cornerstone of a safer work site, where your vigilance quite literally keeps people out of harm’s way each day? We’re on the lookout for an experienced Safety Officer who thrives in fast-paced construction or industrial environments—and we’re hoping you can hit the ground running, starting immediately. If you’re someone who knows the UAE’s safety regulations like the back of your hand and has the credentials to match, this could be the next role you’ve been waiting for.
About the Company
At our core, we’re a team that values people above all else—whether that’s our clients, our staff, or the contractors we work with. Our projects span some of the UAE’s most ambitious construction sites and industrial plants, but what really sets us apart is our boots-on-the-ground team spirit. We celebrate wins (big and small) over fresh coffee, and no question about ‘doing it right’ ever goes ignored. Growing fast means every day brings a new challenge—and a new story to share at our much-loved Thursday lunch meetups.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Conducting thorough site inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with local HSE standards.
- Advising site supervisors and workers on safe work practices, sometimes jumping in with impromptu toolbox talks.
- Preparing and updating risk assessments, safety reports, and incident investigations with accuracy and clarity.
- Responding quickly to emergencies or near-misses—sometimes it’s a drill, sometimes it’s real, but it’s always serious.
- Coordinating and tracking safety training for all staff, ensuring certifications and inductions are never left to chance.
- Acting as a visible ambassador for our safety-first culture: from PPE audits to spotting that one exposed cable no one else noticed.
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- At least 2 years of hands-on HSE experience in a UAE or GCC construction/industrial setting.
- NEBOSH IGC certification (non-negotiable—your ticket through the door).
- Solid understanding of UAE-specific HSE legislation and standards.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s in Engineering or a closely related field (preferred, but not a dealbreaker).
Nice-to-Haves:
- Additional HSE trainings or certifications.
- Sharp report-writing skills—if you can make regulatory jargon sound clear, you’ll fit right in.
- Experience introducing digital HSE tools (think incident tracking apps or e-learning modules).
Not sure if you meet every qualification? If you bring passion for safety and a willingness to learn, we’d still love to talk.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Competitive, always-on-time salary with overtime where needed.
- Immediate start—no waiting, no bureaucracy.
- Supportive, collaborative team that actually listens to safety input.
- Regular upskilling opportunities (think in-house workshops and paid certifications).
- Open-door management style with direct access to decision-makers.
- Work-life balance matters to us: we respect your days off and encourage real downtime.
We spend a good share of our week together—so it’s crucial you feel valued, supported, and challenged. Bring your eye for detail and your passion for safety; we’ll make sure you’re given every opportunity to grow.
