About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Ever wondered what it takes to bring a visionary interior space from blueprint to breathtaking reality? As our next Site Engineer, you won’t just monitor progress — you’ll be the force that turns creative sketches and technical plans into tangible, finished environments. We're seeking someone who’s ready to hit the ground running, juggling the pulse of on-site activity with the precision of behind-the-scenes planning. If you thrive on variety, real responsibility, and the satisfaction of seeing your work materialize (sometimes literally overnight), this could be your moment.

About the Company

We’re a close-knit—and just a bit perfectionist—team of designers and builders in the heart of the city’s creative interior fit out scene. From boutique cafés that make Instagram swoon to corporate spaces that mean serious business, we handle projects where details matter. Our culture? Collaborative, solution-focused, and never afraid to roll up our sleeves when deadlines loom. Our weekly design critiques are lively (and yes, snacks are always included). Growth is baked into our DNA—if you’re looking to evolve your skills alongside a passionate team, you’ll feel right at home here.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Interpreting interior design plans to prepare precise technical drawings and construction layouts for on-site teams.
  • Drafting comprehensive Bill of Quantities (BOQs) and sourcing the best-fit materials, keeping both quality and budget top of mind.
  • Conducting regular site inspections to ensure quality, safety, and true-to-design finishes—no two days will look the same.
  • Coordinating daily work schedules and clearly delegating tasks to contractors, subcontractors, and tradespeople.
  • Organizing and managing the flow of construction materials, from just-in-time deliveries to last-minute vendor negotiations.
  • Reviewing and updating work progress reports—catching issues early, so teams stay on track.
  • Liaising with project managers, designers, and clients to translate vision into action, troubleshooting as needed.
  • Maintaining a sharp eye for detail when assessing finishing standards and solving site issues proactively.

What You’ll Bring

Must-Haves

  • 1–5 years’ hands-on experience as a Site Engineer in interior design and fit out projects.
  • Solid knowledge of interior materials, finishing standards, and construction techniques.
  • Demonstrable experience in preparing BOQs, technical drawings, and layout plans.
  • Strong organizational skills paired with a knack for clear communication—you’re always a few steps ahead.
  • Confidence in negotiating with suppliers and managing multiple vendor relationships.
  • Problem-solver attitude with a cool head under pressure (sites rarely go 100% as planned, you know the drill).

Nice-to-Haves

  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, or other design/technical drawing software.
  • Professional certifications in construction or project management.
  • Previous experience in both commercial and residential projects.

Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Competitive compensation based on experience, with clear pathways for career growth.
  • Supportive team environment—your ideas (and your work) won’t go unnoticed.
  • Flexible working setup: site visits mixed with office days (and the occasional remote work for the detail-driven planning bits).
  • Access to ongoing training and opportunities to learn from senior designers and project leads.
  • Regular team socials and project milestone celebrations—because hard work deserves a toast.
  • Exposure to standout projects that truly build your portfolio.

Whether you love the smell of fresh paint, the puzzle of a perfect layout, or just want to see spaces transform before your eyes, you’ll find plenty of reasons to stick around and grow with us.

Market-Based Salary Overview and Analysis

For a Site Engineer with 1–5 years’ experience in the UAE’s interior fit-out industry, you should expect a salary of at least 6,000–10,000 AED per month, with variation depending on your expertise, certifications, and the complexity of past projects. Similar roles often provide additional benefits such as transportation allowances or performance bonuses, so it’s reasonable to discuss a package that reflects both your technical skills and your role in project delivery.
