About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Ever pictured yourself as the go-to problem solver when a server blinks red or a network stalls just before a big client call? If you’re a System & Network Engineer itching for your next challenge, we have a spot for you right in the heart of Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi. This isn’t just about keeping the lights on — you’ll be central to maintaining, securing, and evolving the core infrastructure that powers a bustling IT services company. With competitive compensation and a supportive, tight-knit team, this is your chance to step into a role where your technical know-how genuinely matters.
About the Company
Nestled among the busy streets of Al Nahyan, our company is known for providing no-nonsense, reliable IT solutions to a diverse range of businesses across Abu Dhabi. Our floor is rarely silent — there’s always a buzz as teams troubleshoot, brainstorm, and celebrate small wins together. We’re not a massive faceless tech giant; here, your ideas are heard in meetings, your input shapes our strategies, and your sense of humor is genuinely appreciated (don’t be surprised if “Who broke the wifi this time?” becomes a running joke). Growth isn’t just a buzzword for us — it’s a journey we all join in, whether you’ve been here a week or a decade.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Oversee the day-to-day administration and maintenance of Windows and/or Linux servers, ensuring uptime and smooth performance
- Take full ownership of network devices — from configuring Cisco or similar switches, to troubleshooting issues before they escalate
- Administer, monitor, and fine-tune firewalls, making sure security isn’t just a checkbox but a living, breathing aspect of our infrastructure
- Manage VPN networks that connect remote teams and clients, keeping both accessibility and security top-notch
- Routinely schedule and verify system and data backups so that “oops” moments never become catastrophes
- Act as an escalation point for technical incidents that stump the frontline support crew
- Collaborate with colleagues on new projects — migrations, upgrades, or the occasional rapid-response fix when something weird happens at 3am
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- 4 to 7 years of hands-on experience in system and network administration (server, network hardware, firewalls, VPN — you know the drill)
- Current residency in Abu Dhabi with a valid work permit in place for at least one year
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a “let’s figure this out” approach under pressure
- Solid command of backup procedures ensuring data integrity and peace of mind
- Team player mentality with the independent streak needed to manage your own workload
Nice-to-Haves:
- Familiarity with scripting for automation (think PowerShell, Bash, or Python to make life easier)
- Certifications like CCNA, MCSE, or similar — not required, but they’ll make us lean in even more
- Prior experience in client-facing IT services or a multi-client MSP-type environment
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Steady, competitive salary of AED 3100 — no hidden surprises
- Enjoy being part of a friendly, knowledge-sharing team with real opportunities to contribute ideas
- Favorable working hours and a predictable, supportive environment
- Regular team lunches and the odd celebratory outing when a big project wraps up
- Direct access to management (no endless email chains or red tape)

We believe in making work a place where you’re challenged and appreciated. If you thrive juggling new puzzles, enjoy a “never boring” workday, and want to put your network wizardry to good use, this could be the role where you really find your stride.
