About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Ever wondered what it’s like to be the linchpin that keeps a construction site humming along from sunrise to sunset? As our new General Foreman, you’ll not only keep our villa projects in the UAE on track, but you’ll be the person everyone turns to for clarity when the heat (sometimes literally) is on. This is an urgent hire—so if you thrive managing busy teams and enjoy the satisfaction of seeing concrete plans turn into real homes, you might have just found your next challenge.

About the Company

We’re a close-knit construction firm that believes great projects are built on trust, teamwork, and a bit of old-fashioned pride in a job well done. Our projects wind through some of the UAE’s most vibrant neighborhoods, and our villa teams are known for attention to detail and camaraderie—don’t be surprised if your morning site walk includes a few shared jokes (and strong coffee). While we’re serious about safety and deadlines, we believe in giving our people space to lead—and grow.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Guiding and supervising skilled workers on villa construction sites, ensuring every stage meets our standards
  • Coordinating daily site activities (think: scheduling crews, managing tools and materials, solving those inevitable “how do we fix this?” puzzles)
  • Directing and monitoring subcontractors—keeping everyone aligned and on pace
  • Interpreting civil and finishing drawings, then translating them into reality on site
  • Making quick decisions when unexpected issues pop up—sometimes in the middle of a hot afternoon
  • Reporting progress, setbacks, or safety concerns to the site engineer and project manager
  • Upholding site safety and quality standards (because keeping everyone safe is non-negotiable)

What You’ll Bring

Must-Haves

  • Egyptian nationality (preferred for this hire)
  • 5–10 years of hands-on experience in villa construction within the UAE
  • Solid grasp of civil and finishing works—cement, tile, paint, you name it
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse workforce
  • Skill in coordinating site logistics and managing multiple trades simultaneously
  • Comfortable reading technical drawings & communicating requirements clearly

Nice-to-Haves

  • Familiarity with common UAE construction regulations
  • Basic English/Arabic communication skills
  • Experience training junior foremen or site supervisors

Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Competitive, on-time monthly salary—you won’t have to chase us for what you’re owed
  • Supportive, no-nonsense leadership and a genuinely friendly crew
  • Room to step up and take ownership—you’ll never be just a number
  • Exposure to showpiece villa projects that will look good on your CV
  • Strong focus on health, safety, and ethical site practices
  • Most weekends off (barring the occasional crunch time, of course)

If you’re looking for a workplace where your experience is respected and your hard work is noticed, this could be the team for you. We know good foremen are the heart of any great build—let’s work together to make something we can all be proud of.

Common Interview Questions and Tips

To help you prepare and feel confident, here are some questions you might encounter during the interview process for this role.

  • Can you walk me through how you would start your day on a busy villa construction site to ensure everything and everyone is aligned?
  • How do you interpret civil and finishing drawings, and what steps do you take to make sure the construction matches these plans on site?
  • Give us an example of a particularly challenging issue you faced on site—what went wrong, how did you respond, and what was the outcome?
  • What’s your process for coordinating work between different trades and subcontractors to keep a villa project moving forward?
  • Tell us about a time you had to enforce safety protocols, even when it was unpopular—how did you handle any pushback from the team?
  • When schedules get tight and deadlines loom, how do you ensure quality isn’t compromised while still delivering on time?
  • How do you keep your crew motivated and focused, especially during long periods of hot weather or when challenges pile up?
  • Describe a situation where you had to mediate between crew members or address a conflict on site. What did you do?
  • In your experience, what are some common mistakes less experienced foremen make, and how do you coach junior staff to avoid them?
  • How comfortable are you with reporting progress and setbacks to engineers and project managers, and what kind of information do you prioritize in your reports?
  • Have you had experience training junior foremen or site supervisors? If so, how do you ensure they’re developing the right skills for the job?
  • What strategies do you use to keep both safety and morale high on a villa site?
  • Can you share how you build trust and teamwork among a construction crew from different backgrounds?
  • Why do you believe clear communication is vital for a foreman, and how do you ensure instructions are understood by everyone on your team?

Market-Based Salary Overview and Analysis

You should expect a salary of at least 6,000–8,000 AED per month for a General Foreman role specializing in villa construction with 5–10 years of UAE experience. Similar positions in the UAE construction industry can go higher, especially if you have strong leadership skills and a solid track record on residential projects. Be sure to discuss additional benefits, such as accommodation or transportation, as these are sometimes included in foreman packages.
