About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Ever wondered what it takes to keep the wheels turning behind the scenes at a company that deals in cutting-edge technical equipment? As our new Logistics Officer, you’ll be the steady hand ensuring orders, shipments, and inventories move like clockwork—no small feat in today’s fast-paced UAE market. If you thrive in organized chaos and find satisfaction in those “Everything’s accounted for!” moments, this might be just what you’re looking for.

About the Company

We’re a tightly knit team dedicated to supplying specialized technical gear to industries that can’t afford downtime. Think: high standards, complex orders, and zero tolerance for mistakes. Our culture balances precision and teamwork—everyone pitches in, whether it’s hopping on a late call with an overseas supplier or sharing lunch in the warehouse office. We value clear communication, quick problem-solving, and those little moments of camaraderie that only develop when you’re all working toward a common goal. And our Friday team trivia? Well, let’s just say you’ll want to brush up on your general knowledge.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Coordinating incoming and outgoing shipments, working closely with suppliers and couriers to avoid delays or surprises.
  • Managing inventory records so that spare parts and sensitive gear are always accounted for (your attention to detail will shine here).
  • Preparing accurate, well-organized shipping and import/export documentation according to UAE regulations.
  • Keeping a close eye on stock levels and reordering thresholds—you’ll know what’s needed before anyone else does.
  • Collaborating with the sales and technical teams to understand project timelines and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Using Microsoft Excel to track shipments, analyze inventory data, and present weekly reports to management.
  • Jumping in to resolve any logistics hiccups—be it a missing part, a customs snag, or an unexpected supply chain wrinkle.

What You’ll Bring

Must-Haves:

  • At least 1 to 2 years of hands-on experience in logistics or supply chain (internship counts, if you got your hands dirty!).
  • Diploma, certificate, or degree in business administration, logistics, or a closely related field.
  • Solid command of Microsoft Office, especially Excel—you enjoy making sense of data and have a knack for spreadsheets.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Previous experience supporting technical or industrial equipment sectors.
  • Comfort with logistics software or ERP systems (if you’ve worked with one before, let us know!).
  • A collaborative, “let’s solve this together” attitude.

Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Competitive salary and benefits tailored to experience and growth.
  • A supportive workplace where your ideas on streamlining logistics will actually be heard (and probably implemented).
  • Friendly, multi-cultural team—you’ll never feel like just another cog in the machine.
  • Spacious warehouse/office with great coffee (yes, this matters!) and plenty of daylight.
  • Career development in a growing sector: you’ll see how your work makes a real impact.
  • Flexibility for future growth—cross-train in other departments, or level up your logistics career with us.
  • Occasional team lunches, and a healthy dose of humor during the busy days.

We believe that every successful delivery is a team win—and we celebrate accordingly. If you want a role where your organizational skills really matter and there’s space to grow, you’ll feel right at home here.

Common Interview Questions and Tips

To help you prepare and feel confident, here are some questions you might encounter during the interview process for this role.

  • Tell us about a time when you had to coordinate with both suppliers and couriers to ensure a shipment arrived on schedule. What steps did you take to avoid delays?
  • How have you used Microsoft Excel in previous logistics roles to track inventory or shipments, and what specific formulas or features do you find most useful?
  • What’s your approach to maintaining accurate shipping and import/export documentation, especially when working within UAE regulations?
  • Describe your experience with inventory management. How do you ensure that critical spare parts and sensitive equipment are always accounted for?
  • Have you ever dealt with a supply chain disruption, such as missing parts or customs issues? Walk us through how you handled the situation and what you learned.
  • Can you share any experience you have using logistics software or ERP systems? How did it help you in your daily work?
  • When collaborating across teams—like sales and technical staff—how do you make sure everyone’s aligned on project timelines and logistical requirements?
  • Give us an example of a tough problem you solved as part of a team. What was your role, and how did you contribute to the solution?
  • Imagine you realize a key item is out of stock, and the sales team needs it urgently for a client. How would you handle both the immediate issue and preventing it in the future?
  • In our fast-paced work environment, how do you keep yourself organized and maintain attention to detail, especially during high-volume periods?
  • What motivates you in a logistics role, especially when handling repetitive tasks or when things get hectic?
  • How do you foster open communication and good working relationships with colleagues from different backgrounds or departments?
  • Our culture values initiative—can you share a time when you suggested a process improvement or new approach in your former workplace? What was the outcome?
  • How do you typically respond to last-minute changes or urgent requests—do you have a system or mindset that helps you stay flexible?

Market-Based Salary Overview and Analysis

For a Logistics Officer position like this, with 1–2 years of experience and responsibility for handling specialized technical equipment, you should expect a monthly salary in the range of 5,000–7,000 AED in the UAE. Roles in logistics and supply chain at this entry-to-mid level, especially in technical industries, often offer competitive packages with room to grow as you gain more experience and skills. If you bring relevant sector experience or advanced Excel/ERP knowledge, you may be able to aim for the higher end of that range.
