Leasing Officer — Where Abu Dhabi’s Property Market Meets Your Career

Ever pictured yourself at the center of Abu Dhabi’s buzzing rental scene — keys in one hand, a satisfied tenant on the line, and a deal you negotiated just signed? That’s the daily rhythm of this role. We’re looking for a Leasing Officer to join our team in Al Nahyan, someone who can juggle inquiries, contracts, and client relationships without breaking a sweat. With the capital’s property market moving fast and digital platforms like TAMM reshaping how tenants search and sign, there’s never been a more interesting time to be on this side of the desk.

About Us

We’re a growing real estate team based in the heart of Abu Dhabi, and we’ve built our reputation on doing things properly — clear communication, airtight paperwork, and relationships that outlast a single lease term. The office is busy but never chaotic, and we genuinely believe that a well-managed lease starts with a well-supported officer. If you like the idea of joining a team where your attention to detail actually gets noticed (and where someone will always have your back during a tough negotiation), you’ll fit right in.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Be the first point of contact for prospective tenants — answering inquiries, arranging viewings, and turning curious callers into signed contracts.
  • Manage the full leasing cycle: from initial listing and negotiation through to contract signing and handover.
  • Draft and prepare letters, reports, and company documents with the kind of accuracy that keeps everyone out of trouble.
  • Handle lease renewals and rent negotiations, keeping both landlords and tenants happy where possible.
  • Stay on top of DARI, TAMM, and current UAE property laws — and make sure every agreement we sign reflects them.
  • Build genuine relationships with clients, because in this market, a good reputation travels faster than any listing.

What You’ll Bring

Must-haves:

  • Some hands-on leasing experience (we’d love it if you’ve worked in the UAE market before).
  • Working knowledge of DARI, TAMM, and UAE tenancy regulations.
  • Strong written and spoken communication — you’ll be drafting documents and negotiating daily.
  • A detail-oriented eye and the kind of organization that keeps multiple leases moving at once.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Familiarity with property management software or CRM tools.
  • Arabic language skills (a real asset with many of our clients, though not essential).

Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you — the right attitude and a willingness to learn go a long way here.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Competitive salary that reflects your experience, with room to grow as the team expands.
  • A real work-life balance — we plan our viewings sensibly, not chaotically.
  • Supportive team culture — no one here gets thrown into a negotiation alone on day one.
  • Career development — the more you learn about the market and its regulations, the further you’ll go with us.
  • Prime location in Al Nahyan, easy to reach from across the city.

We’re not promising ping-pong tables or nap pods — what we offer is a solid, stable role in a team that respects your time and invests in your growth. If you’re ready to make your mark in Abu Dhabi’s property market, this could be the move you’ve been waiting for.

Common Interview Questions and Tips

To help you prepare and feel confident, here are some questions you might encounter during the interview process for this role.

  • Walk me through how you typically handle the full leasing cycle, from the first inquiry to handing over the keys. Where do you find the process usually gets stuck?
  • DARI and TAMM have changed how a lot of leasing work gets done in Abu Dhabi. Can you give an example of how you've used either platform in a real transaction?
  • How do you stay current on UAE tenancy regulations, and can you recall a time when a rule change affected how you structured or renewed a lease?
  • Tell me about a time you had to negotiate rent between a landlord who wouldn't budge and a tenant who felt the price was too high. How did you find common ground?
  • What's your process for drafting contracts and supporting documents? How do you make sure nothing slips through before signing?
  • Have you worked with any property management software or CRM tools? Which ones, and how did they change the way you tracked leads and renewals?
  • Describe a situation where you were juggling several viewings, inquiries, and renewals at once. How did you keep everything moving without dropping the ball?
  • Tell me about a deal that fell apart. What happened, and what would you do differently now?
  • Can you share an example of a client relationship you built that led to repeat business or a referral? What did you do to earn that trust?
  • How would you handle a tenant who's upset about a maintenance issue that's technically the landlord's responsibility, but the landlord is slow to respond?
  • This role involves a lot of writing — letters, reports, lease documents. How do you make sure your written communication is clear and accurate under time pressure?
  • What draws you to leasing in Abu Dhabi specifically, and how do you see your career developing over the next few years?
  • The office stays busy, but we try to keep things calm and organized. How do you personally manage stress during a packed week of viewings and negotiations?
  • Arabic isn't required for

Market-Based Salary Overview and Analysis

For a Leasing Officer role in Abu Dhabi with some UAE experience under your belt, you should expect a monthly salary of around 6,000 to 9,000 AED, with the upper end going to candidates who bring solid DARI and TAMM knowledge plus Arabic skills. If you're newer to the market but have relevant leasing exposure, something in the 4,500 to 6,000 AED range is realistic, while experienced officers who can manage the full cycle independently often command 10,000 AED or more, especially with commission or performance incentives on top. Since the job description mentions a competitive salary that grows with the team, it's worth asking about commission structure and renewal bonuses during the interview, as these can make a meaningful difference to your total earnings in Abu Dhabi's busy rental market.
