About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Ever wondered what it’s like to be the person who keeps an office running smoothly, where every day brings a new challenge (and the occasional thank-you from your grateful coworkers)? If you’re looking to bring your organizational skills to an energetic team near Al Garhoud Metro Station—right in the lively hub near The Irish Village—Al Enjaz Cargo Gate has a spot for you. We’re on the lookout for Administrative Assistants/Office Assistants who thrive when balancing daily details with the bigger picture.
About the Company
Al Enjaz Cargo Gate isn’t just in the business of moving goods; we’re moving people, ideas, and possibilities. Our team is a close-knit mix of veterans who know the ropes and eager newcomers ready to make their mark. You’ll find us swapping stories over strong coffee, debating the best spots for post-work eats, and pulling together to meet big deadlines. Growth is in our DNA—personally, professionally, and as a business. Here, your work has a direct impact on our success and the customers we serve every day.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Greeting visitors and making them feel at home—whether they’re clients, couriers, or colleagues from another department.
- Keeping our office workflow humming: managing incoming and outgoing mail, filing documents (yes, sometimes actual paper), and keeping key records updated.
- Answering calls with a warm, helpful tone and ensuring emails reach the right eyes—no message left behind.
- Coordinating schedules, meetings, and the occasional impromptu team lunch (your calendar skills will shine here).
- Supporting daily operations by collaborating with team members—sometimes you’ll be the go-to for quick fixes or solutions.
- Assisting with the procurement of office supplies so no one is caught without a pen five minutes before a big meeting.
- Handling confidential information with professionalism and discretion—it’s part of the trust we place in you.
- Lending a hand on ad-hoc tasks, whether that’s prepping a report, troubleshooting a spreadsheet, or organizing a last-minute courier pick-up.
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Previous experience in an administrative, office, or front-desk support role (cargo/logistics experience is a plus but not required).
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), and comfort with general office technology.
- Solid attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple priorities without missing a beat.
- A helpful, team-first attitude—after all, we’re all in this together.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Fluency in additional languages (Arabic, Hindi, or others).
