About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Introduction
Ever wondered what it takes to lead a high-performing sales team in one of the world’s most dynamic property markets? If you’ve got Dubai’s real estate landscape in your blood and a knack for motivating people, this could be your next big move. Rose Island Real Estate is expanding its presence in Business Bay, and we’re on the hunt for a seasoned Sales Manager who knows how to turn ambitious targets into reality — while building a team that actually enjoys coming to work.
About the Company
Rose Island Real Estate isn’t your typical brokerage. We’ve built our reputation on transparency, hustle, and a genuine commitment to matching clients with the right properties — whether they’re first-time buyers or seasoned investors. Our Business Bay office is buzzing with energy, and we’re at that exciting growth stage where every deal feels like a win and every team member genuinely matters. We’re not about micromanagement or stuffy boardrooms; we’re about smart strategy, real support, and celebrating the wins together. If you’re looking for a place where your ideas actually get heard, you’ll feel right at home here.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading from the front — you’ll manage, mentor, and motivate a team of agents, helping them sharpen their sales skills and close deals with confidence.
- Setting the pace — you’ll monitor individual and team performance against KPIs, stepping in with coaching or strategy tweaks when things need a nudge.
- Negotiating the big ones — when a deal gets tricky or a high-value client needs extra attention, you’ll be the calm, steady hand that gets it across the line.
- Building the culture — you’ll help foster a competitive yet collaborative environment where agents push each other to be better without stepping on toes.
- Reporting and strategizing — you’ll keep leadership in the loop with clear, honest updates on pipeline health, market trends, and what’s working (and what isn’t).
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Proven experience in real estate sales — you know the Dubai market inside out, from off-plan launches to secondary sales.
- Solid track record of managing or leading a sales team, not just hitting your own numbers.
- Sharp negotiation and closing skills — you know when to push and when to pause.
- Ability to read a performance dashboard and actually do something with the data.
- Fluent in Arabic and English — you’ll be dealing with a diverse client base, and that bilingual edge matters.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Existing network of buyers, investors, or agents in the region.
- Experience with CRM tools and sales tracking software.
- A natural coaching style — you genuinely enjoy watching others succeed.
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you. Sometimes the right attitude and hunger matter more than a perfect CV.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Competitive commission structures that actually reward your effort — no cap on what you can earn.
- A prime Business Bay location that puts you right in the heart of the action.
- Supportive leadership that backs your decisions and gives you room to run your team your way.
- Real growth opportunities — as we expand, so do the roles available for people who prove their worth.
- A team culture that doesn’t take itself too seriously — yes, we work hard, but we also know how to celebrate a big closing.
At the end of the day, this is more than just a job — it’s a chance to shape a growing branch and leave your mark on a company that’s going places. If that sounds like your kind of challenge, we’d love to meet you.
Common Interview Questions and Tips
To help you prepare and feel confident, here are some questions you might encounter during the interview process for this role.
- Walk me through how you’ve handled a situation where one of your top agents hit a serious slump. What was your approach, and how did you turn it around?
- Can you share a specific example of a high-value or particularly complex deal you personally closed in Dubai’s market? What made it tricky, and how did you navigate it?
- How do you balance pushing for aggressive sales targets with maintaining a positive, collaborative vibe in the team — especially when the pressure is on?
- The Dubai market moves fast, and off-plan launches have their own rhythm. How do you keep your team sharp and well-informed on new developments and shifts in buyer sentiment?
- Tell me about a time you had to deliver tough feedback to an underperformer. How did you frame it, and what was the outcome?
- You’re given a dashboard showing your team’s conversion rates are dipping across the board. Walk me through how you’d diagnose the issue and what your first steps would be.
- If you joined Rose Island and found that some of your agents were resistant to using the CRM consistently, how would you handle that pushback?
- How do you keep your own finger on the pulse of the market — from secondary sales trends to new investor hotspots — and how do you translate that into actionable coaching for your team?
- We’re big on celebrating wins but also on honest, real talk when things aren’t working. Can you give an example of a time you had to deliver bad news to leadership about pipeline health, and how you handled it?
- What does your ideal working relationship with upper management look like, especially in a growing branch where you’re expected to take ownership?
- Imagine two of your strongest agents are going head-to-head over the same exclusive listing. How do you manage that rivalry so it fuels performance rather than creating friction?
- Where do you see yourself in two years — and how does leading a team at Rose Island fit into that bigger picture
