What You’ll Be Doing
- Greeting customers with genuine warmth and guiding them through our selection of Syrian, Arabic, Middle Eastern, and Western sweets.
- Preparing, packaging, and serving a variety of sweets—sometimes recommending the perfect match for a customer’s craving.
- Handling transactions accurately at the counter, including cash and card payments.
- Keeping the display counter spotless and well-stocked, so everything looks as irresistible as it tastes.
- Sharing your knowledge of ingredients and origins (you’ll be our in-house expert on knafeh, baklava, and more).
- Ensuring strict hygiene and food safety standards at all times.
- Jumping in to help teammates during busy periods, whether that means prepping boxes or offering suggestions for the shop playlist.
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Previous experience handling and serving a variety of sweets, with special knowledge of Syrian, Arabic, Middle Eastern, and Western desserts.
- Transferable residence visa and readiness to join immediately.
- Polite and professional customer service skills—patience and kindness are key, especially when it gets busy!
- Comfortable with basic math and using a point-of-sale system.
- A genuine enthusiasm for sweets and sharing them with others.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Conversational Arabic or English skills.
- Familiarity with local customer preferences or seasonal specialties.
- Experience working in a high-traffic shop or café.
