About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Ever wondered what it takes to turn a blueprint into the shimmering oasis you see in a luxury backyard or hotel? At Bluescape Swimming Pools, we’re searching for an experienced Swimming Pool Civil Engineer to help us shape the aquatic landscapes of Dubai. If you’re passionate about seeing projects progress from first sketch to that inaugural splash, this could be the role where your technical eye and people skills truly make waves.

About Bluescape Swimming Pools

We’re a close-knit team with an obsessive attention to detail and a love for water in all forms — from infinity pools atop skyscrapers to tranquil backyard retreats. As a rapidly growing company in the thriving Dubai landscape, we blend local expertise with innovative design. Our engineers, architects, and project coordinators don’t just build pools; they create destinations. (Ask us about our monthly site visits — they're always a mix of learning, laughs, and maybe a bit of friendly rivalry on progress shots.)

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading the on-site supervision and management of swimming pool construction projects, ensuring every phase meets our high standards
  • Interpreting and reviewing technical drawings, specifications, and designs — double-checking details to avoid surprises down the line
  • Acting as the bridge between clients and construction teams, translating client visions into practical, buildable solutions
  • Monitoring project timelines, budgets, and resources, and proposing adjustments when agile thinking is required
  • Coordinating with suppliers, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities to keep everything running smoothly
  • Providing technical guidance and solving on-site challenges as they arise (we value creative, engineering-first solutions)
  • Ensuring all work complies with local codes, safety regulations, and environmental requirements

What You’ll Bring

Must-Haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with swimming pool or water feature construction — not just general civil works
  • Solid grasp of project management and site supervision within the UAE construction sector
  • Strong ability to read, interpret, and question technical drawings and specifications
  • Clear, respectful communication skills, whether that's with clients, labor teams, or consultants
  • Fluent in English; Arabic language skills a plus

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience with luxury or bespoke swimming pool design/construction
  • Familiarity with regional suppliers and permitting processes
  • Enthusiasm for sustainability and innovative pool technologies

Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Competitive salary package with performance-based bonuses
  • Supportive, team-focused work culture (where everyone actually knows your name)
  • Opportunities to take on bigger projects and real responsibility as we grow
  • Regular training, supplier workshops, and exposure to the latest pool tech
  • Flexible approach to site and office time; we know that the best plans often get made over coffee or a site walk
  • End-of-project celebrations, team outings, and—yes—occasional pool parties

You’ll work somewhere that values your expertise, supports your curiosity, and delivers results you’re genuinely proud to show off—both on your CV and, honestly, next time you’re at a rooftop pool.

Market-Based Salary Overview and Analysis

For a Swimming Pool Civil Engineer role in Dubai with at least 3 years of specialized experience, you should expect a monthly salary of at least 8,000–12,000 AED, with potential for higher earnings depending on the complexity of projects and your project management track record. Similar roles in the UAE’s construction and luxury design sector typically fall within this range, especially when there is direct experience in swimming pool or bespoke water feature works. If you bring expertise in luxury projects or additional local certifications, you may be able to negotiate on the higher end of this spectrum.
