About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Ever pictured yourself shaping Dubai’s skyline from the inside out? We’re searching for a Civil/Structural Engineer to join our consulting office in Dubai Investment Park — the kind of person who gets a kick out of both structural design and on-site supervision. If you’re ready for hands-on responsibility and want to grow your credentials in one of the world’s most dynamic cities, this opportunity could be your next step.
About the Company
Nestled in the thriving hub of Dubai Investment Park, our consulting office is a close-knit team of engineers who believe that solid structures begin with even stronger collaboration. We’re a pragmatic bunch: morning site visits, afternoon brainstorms, and the occasional impromptu debate about the best concrete mix. The office hums with ambition — we’re small enough that your work gets noticed, but established enough that you’ll learn from seasoned experts and see the impact of your ideas across real projects. Here, passing the municipality exam is more than a milestone; it’s a celebration (and, yes, there might be cake).
What You’ll Be Doing
- Prepare and review structural design calculations and drawings for a variety of building projects.
- Supervise construction sites to ensure compliance with approved plans, specs, and safety standards.
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and clients — sometimes all in the same afternoon.
- Assist in preparing documentation for municipality approvals and inspections.
- Stay up-to-date with local codes and regulations (you’ll become a municipality exam pro).
- Troubleshoot structural challenges as they arise — we value your creative problem-solving.
- Support project managers in scheduling, reporting, and keeping everything on track.
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (graduation certificate required).
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in structural design and site supervision.
- Willingness and eligibility to pass the Dubai Municipality exam and obtain Society of Engineers membership.
- Strong communication skills — you’ll be working with people from all walks of life.
- Valid passport and current visa (ready to send documentation).
Nice-to-Haves:
- Previous experience working in Dubai or the UAE construction sector.
- Familiarity with local authority submission processes.
- Proficiency in structural software (e.g., ETABS, SAFE, AutoCAD).
- A knack for anticipating issues before they become problems.
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Competitive, transparent salary: AED 3,000 in Year 1, rising to AED 4,000 in Year 2.
- Full visa sponsorship for the right candidate.
- Unique opportunity to earn Society of Engineers membership and gain municipality approval — career milestones that open doors across the UAE.
- Supportive, mentorship-driven team culture; your growth is our growth.
- Exposure to a diverse mix of projects — no two weeks are quite the same.
- WhatsApp-based communication for quick, direct updates (no endless email chains).
- Office located in Dubai Investment Park — easy access, vibrant surroundings.
At our office, you won’t be just another face in the crowd. You’ll be a valued part of a team that’s helping shape Dubai’s future, one structure at a time.
