About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Introduction

Curious about the fast-moving world of crypto mining? As a Crypto Mining IT Technician here, you won’t just be tinkering with machines — you’ll have a real hand in shaping the backbone of our mining operations. From hunting down the best ASIC deals (think S19, S21, Hydro…) to keeping rigs humming efficiently, this role blends hands-on tech skills with a dash of negotiation and a lot of autonomy. If you love the idea of blending hardware know-how with the pulse of global crypto, you might just feel right at home.

About the Company

We’re a tight-knit team of crypto enthusiasts and infrastructure geeks, passionate about building mining operations that punch above their weight. Our culture? Think collaborative, a little bit nerdy, and always ready to celebrate a new milestone (or a smooth firmware upgrade). Based across the UAE and Kuwait, with international partners in the mix, we value adaptability and initiative — and yes, we’re known to swap mining stories over late-night group chats. Here, everyone’s opinion matters, whether it’s about the latest ASIC release or which cooling system actually works in the desert heat.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Scouting out, negotiating, and closing deals for ASIC mining rigs (S19, S21, Hydro — and whatever’s next) locally and internationally.
  • Inspecting hardware for condition, firmware version, and power consumption before purchase — no surprises allowed.
  • Setting up mining rigs from scratch: think network configuration, electrical layout, and installing cooling solutions that actually keep things running.
  • Overseeing daily mining operations, monitoring hash rates, power efficiency, and troubleshooting hiccups as they arise.
  • Working closely with suppliers, logistics partners, and on-site teams to ensure smooth delivery, setup, and scaling.
  • Keeping up with the latest mining trends, firmware updates, and best practices — and sharing your findings with the crew.
  • Optimizing mining performance: tweaking settings, balancing loads, and hunting down any lost efficiency.

What You’ll Bring

Must-Haves:

  • Solid hands-on experience with ASIC mining rigs (e.g., S19, S21, Hydro models).
  • Comfort with hardware inspection, troubleshooting, and on-site testing.
  • A knack for negotiation and deal-making — whether in the UAE, Kuwait, or halfway across the world.
  • Strong understanding of network setup, basic electrical requirements, and cooling systems for mining environments.
  • Problem-solving mindset, with the ability to work independently (and admit when you need a second opinion).
  • Good communication skills — you’ll be the bridge between vendors, techies, and management.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Previous sourcing experience or supplier contacts in the crypto mining industry.
  • Familiarity with mining management software and remote monitoring tools.
  • Some Arabic language skills for local negotiations (not a dealbreaker).
  • An interest in scaling operations or experimenting with new mining tech.

Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Competitive salary plus performance-based bonuses (when mining is good, we all win).
  • Flexible work options: split your time between the on-site action and remote troubleshooting.
  • Opportunities to attend crypto conferences and tech expos — or just swap tips in our group chat.
  • Fast-growing team with real chances to shape our processes and future expansion.
  • Supportive crew that values curiosity, experimentation, and a healthy sense of humor (especially when a rig goes down at 2am).
  • Transparent leadership and plenty of room for new ideas — whether it’s optimizing cooling or negotiating a killer deal.

We know mining can be intense, but here, you’ll have the autonomy to make a real impact — and the camaraderie to keep things fun along the way.

Common Interview Questions and Tips

To help you prepare and feel confident, here are some questions you might encounter during the interview process for this role.

  • Describe a time when you successfully negotiated a deal for mining hardware, especially across different markets or languages. What strategies did you use?
  • How would you approach setting up a new mining site from scratch, including network configuration, electrical layout, and cooling?
  • When monitoring daily mining operations, what metrics do you track most closely, and how do you respond if there’s a sudden drop in hash rate or efficiency?
  • Tell us about a tricky troubleshooting issue you encountered with an ASIC rig or mining setup — how did you identify and resolve the problem?
  • What’s your experience with integrating new firmware updates or experimenting with next-gen mining tech? How do you evaluate what’s worth implementing?
  • If you noticed a gradual increase in power consumption across several rigs, what steps would you take to diagnose and fix the issue?
  • Share an example of how you’ve collaborated with logistics partners or suppliers to ensure timely delivery and setup of mining equipment.
  • Our team values initiative and independent thinking — can you give an example of a time you took ownership of a project or solution in a technical environment?
  • How do you stay up to date with the latest trends in crypto mining, and how do you share those insights with your team?
