About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Ever wondered what it’s like to be at the helm of a growing construction company, steering bold projects to life and making key calls that shape the skyline? Dar Al Hajar Contracting Company is searching for a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) with the vision and know-how to guide us into our next era. If blending hands-on project leadership with big-picture strategy sounds like your sweet spot, this could be the corner office you’ve been working toward.

About Dar Al Hajar Contracting Company

Here at Dar Al Hajar, we’re not just building structures — we’re building relationships and lasting legacies. As a well-established player in the construction and building sector, our team thrives on collaboration, accountability, and a deep-seated pride in quality craftsmanship. Growth here is not just a company metric, but a team journey: think strategic brainstorming sessions, candid feedback loops, and yes, celebrating project milestones over a shared meal. We value visionaries who believe the best ideas can come from anywhere (and anyone) on the team.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Shaping and executing a robust operational strategy and long-term growth plan — with equal attention to today’s targets and tomorrow’s potential.
  • Leading the operational, financial, and commercial arms of the company, always with an eye for synergy and smart resource allocation.
  • Overseeing multiple projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks aren’t just met, but exceeded.
  • Building and nurturing high-performing leadership teams, encouraging continuous professional development and a results-oriented environment.
  • Fostering relationships with key clients, partners, and industry stakeholders to unlock mutually beneficial opportunities.
  • Ensuring rigorous adherence to industry standards, health & safety, and regulatory requirements across all operations.
  • Spotting market trends, potential risks, and areas for innovation — then pivoting strategies as needed, without losing sight of our ambitions.

What You’ll Bring

Must-Haves

  • Senior leadership experience (ideally as CEO, COO, or similar) within the construction or building sector.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale projects, with a knack for balancing big visions and operational realities.
  • Proven ability to steer commercial, financial, and executive office functions in a dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills — you’re as comfortable in the boardroom as you are on a job site.
  • Strategic mindset and decisiveness, with a strong record of driving growth and team performance.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Prior experience navigating organizational change or leading companies through periods of significant growth or transformation.
  • Familiarity with digital tools and tech innovation in construction management.
  • Formal qualifications relevant to engineering, business, or construction management.

Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Competitive executive compensation and incentive package.
  • Opportunity to shape the future of a respected construction company with ambitious growth plans.
  • Dynamic, supportive leadership team that values transparency and candor.
  • Culture built on trust, accountability, and collective achievement — no lone wolves here.
  • Room to implement your vision and see your impact, from boardroom strategies to the finished foundations onsite.
  • Flexible approach to work-life integration, knowing that results matter most.

When you join Dar Al Hajar Contracting Company, you’re not stepping into a routine executive role; you’re taking on an opportunity to leave a true legacy. Let’s build something remarkable — together.

Market-Based Salary Overview and Analysis

For a CEO role in the UAE’s construction sector with full executive responsibility and project oversight, you should expect a salary of at least 70,000–100,000 AED per month, often with additional incentives, performance bonuses, and benefits such as housing or transport allowances. Similar executive positions in well-established construction companies typically fall within this range, especially when senior leadership experience and a proven commercial track record are required. Waiting for a competitive package that reflects both your experience and the ambitious expectations of the company is advisable.
