Responsibilities

• Design and Construction: Create custom gowns, evening dresses, and bridal wear, interpreting client requirements and designer sketches with impeccable craftsmanship.
• Fittings and Alterations: Conduct detailed fittings, providing expert advice and ensuring a perfect fit for every client. Make precise alterations as needed, always upholding the highest standards of quality and finish.
• Fabric Selection and Handling: Work with a wide variety of luxury fabrics, including silks, satins, chiffons, and lace, demonstrating expert handling and care.
• Finishing Touches: Apply intricate embellishments, hand-finished seams, beadwork, embroidery, and other detailing techniques to elevate each piece.
• Time Management: Manage multiple projects efficiently, adhering to tight deadlines without compromising on quality or attention to detail.
• Collaboration: Liaise closely with designers, sales consultants, and clients to ensure every garment reflects the boutique’s signature elegance and each client’s personal style.
• Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections of garments before delivery, ensuring each piece meets our exacting standards.

Requirements

• Proven Experience: Minimum of 5 years working as a tailor, specifically in high-end evening and bridal wear.
• Technical Expertise: Exceptional skills in pattern making, cutting, sewing, and finishing luxurious garments.
• Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to produce flawless work with an eye for intricate details and finishing.
• Efficiency: Capacity to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines, while maintaining superior quality.
• Creativity: Strong sense of style and an innovative approach to design, fitting, and garment construction.
• Communication Skills: Ability to interact professionally with clients, understanding their needs and providing excellent customer service.
• Language: Proficiency in English is essential; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
• Portfolio: A portfolio showcasing your previous work in evening and bridal wear is required.
