About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Build the Systems That Keep Dubai Running — Federal Fix Is Hiring
Ever fixed something and felt that quiet rush of pride when it clicked back to life? Now imagine doing that every day, across some of Dubai's busiest buildings, with a team that actually has your back. Federal Fix is growing fast, and we're looking for AC technicians, plumbers, electricians, and helpers who take pride in work done right the first time. If you've been hunting for steady work with a company that treats skilled hands like the asset they are, this could be your stop.
Who We Are
Federal Fix started as a small crew of tradespeople who were tired of the "good enough" mentality that plagues so much of the maintenance industry. We built something different — a team that shows up on time, diagnoses problems properly, and stands behind every job. Today we handle AC, plumbing, and electrical work across residential and commercial properties in Dubai, and we've grown mostly through word of mouth. That tells you something.
We're not a corporate machine. Our supervisors came up through the ranks, our vans are stocked properly, and when someone on the team has a better way to do something, we listen. If you want a place where your experience actually matters, you'll fit right in.
What You'll Be Doing
- AC Technicians: Installing, servicing, and repairing split, central, and chiller systems. Diagnosing refrigerant issues, compressor faults, and electrical gremlins that make units misbehave.
- Plumbers: Handling everything from leak repairs and pipe installations to drainage issues and water heater work. Reading the situation, not just the blueprint.
- Electricians: Wiring, panel work, fault-finding, and maintenance across residential and commercial sites. Keeping things safe, compliant, and running without drama.
- Helpers: Supporting our technicians on-site — carrying tools, prepping work areas, learning the trade from people who've done it for years. This is where careers start here.
- Responding to service calls promptly and communicating clearly with clients about what's wrong and what it'll take to fix it.
- Keeping your tools, van, and workspace in order — because a messy setup leads to messy work.
What You'll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Relevant hands-on experience in your trade (helpers: a willingness to learn and a strong work ethic go a long way)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a crew
- Basic communication skills in English — enough to coordinate with the team and speak with clients
- A valid UAE driving license is a plus for technicians, but not a dealbreaker
Nice-to-Haves:
- Certifications or trade qualifications
- Experience with both residential and commercial systems
- Familiarity with Dubai's building standards and common equipment
Not sure you tick every box? We'd still love to hear from you. Skills can be taught — attitude can't.
Why You'll Love Working Here
- On-the-spot hiring: Walk in with your CV, walk out with an answer. No waiting weeks for a callback.
- Competitive pay that reflects your skill level — we don't lowball experienced tradespeople.
- Real growth paths: Helpers become technicians. Technicians become supervisors. We promote from within first.
- Steady work: Dubai's buildings don't stop needing maintenance, and neither do we.

We're interviewing Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM at Clover Bay Tower, Business Bay, Dubai — 11th Floor, Office 1110. Bring your CV, bring your questions, and come see if Federal Fix feels like the right fit. You can also send your CV via WhatsApp if you'd rather reach out first.
Good tradespeople are hard to find. We know that — that's why we're making it easy to join us.
Common Interview Questions and Tips
To help you prepare and feel confident, here are some questions you might encounter during the interview process for this role.
- You're called out to a residential split AC that's running but not cooling. Walk me through how you'd diagnose the issue, step by step, before you even open your gauges.
- Tell me about a time you showed up to a job expecting one problem and found something completely different. How did you handle it?
- For our electricians: you're doing fault-finding on a commercial panel and the breaker keeps tripping intermittently. What's your process for tracking that down without just resetting it and hoping?
- Describe a situation where a client was unhappy with a repair — maybe it didn't hold, or they felt it took too long. What did you do?
- Plumbers, this one's for you: you arrive at a building with water backing up across multiple units. How do you figure out whether it's a local blockage or something in the main line?
- What certifications or trade qualifications do you hold, and how do you keep your knowledge current — especially with newer equipment and Dubai's building standards?
- Have you ever disagreed with a supervisor about how a job should be done? Tell me what happened and how it played out.
- Helpers, imagine you're three months into the job and you've been paired with a senior technician who's having a rough day and snapping at everyone. How would you handle that?
- How do you decide when a system is worth repairing versus when it's time to tell the client it needs replacing?
- Give me an example of a time you caught a safety issue on-site that others had missed. What did you do about it?
- You're finishing one job and dispatch calls with an urgent service request across town. How do you manage your time and communicate that to the client you're already with?
- What does "done right the first time" mean to you in practice — not the slogan, but what it actually looks like on a Tuesday afternoon?
- Why Federal Fix? What made you stop and read
