About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Ever wondered what it’s really like to become a cherished part of a family’s everyday life? As a Live-In Nanny for our home in Al Qasimia, Sharjah, you won’t just be minding the kids — you’ll be a valued helper and friend, making a difference in those little, meaningful moments that shape a child’s world. If you’re someone who enjoys being part of a family’s story and thrives on bringing warmth and care into a home, this could be a uniquely rewarding opportunity.
About Us
We’re a close-knit North Indian family who’s made Sharjah our second home, and our apartment is always full of laughter, occasional chaos, and plenty of love. While my wife keeps most things running smoothly, life is a little easier when there’s a trustworthy extra pair of hands around. We’re big on family values and open communication — plus, you'll find our shared meals and stories as much a part of your day as helping with homework or straightening up toys. If you like feeling truly involved (and don’t mind the occasional impromptu Bollywood music session), you’ll get along great here.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Caring for our children with patience, attention, and genuine affection — from playtime, to meals, to bedtime routines.
- Assisting my wife with household chores, which might mean tidying up after busy mornings or lending a hand in the kitchen.
- Keeping the apartment neat and organized — we all pitch in, but your help means a lot.
- Communicating openly with us about the children’s needs, moods, and daily routines.
- Supporting my wife in any way needed throughout the day, especially during those after-school hours when everyone seems to need something at once!
- Occasionally joining us for family outings or helping during special occasions.
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Prior experience caring for kids (either in a professional or family setting).
- Ability to understand and speak English comfortably.
- A warm, responsible, and flexible attitude.
- Willingness to live-in with us and be a part of our daily life.
- Basic skills in general housekeeping tasks (laundry, cleaning, simple cooking support).
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience working with North Indian families or within similar cultures.
- Comfort speaking or understanding Hindi (just a bonus, not essential).
- A knack for engaging children in creative activities or games.
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Competitive Salary: AED 1200 per month, plus food, accommodation, and a visa provided — you can focus on the job, not the logistics.
- True Family Atmosphere: You’ll be more than just staff; we treat you as part of the family and value your well-being.
- Rest and Recharge: Two days off each month so you can have time for yourself — rest matters here.
- Safe, Comfortable Living: Private accommodation within our apartment, along with all meals shared at home.
- Support and Respect: Open communication is at the heart of our household. You’ll always be listened to and supported.
- Growth and Stability: If you love what you do and we click, there’s plenty of opportunity for a long-term, stable arrangement.
Our home is built on togetherness — if you’re looking for a place where your work is truly appreciated and you’re treated like family, we hope you’ll join us.
