About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Ever find yourself admiring a perfectly finished piece of furniture—the kind that begs for a second glance—and wonder who brought that craftsmanship to life? As a Furniture Painter in our Ras Al-Khaimah workshop, you’ll do just that. This role is about more than splashing color; it’s about shaping how each custom piece feels in a client’s home. If you’ve got an eye for detail and love working with your hands, you’ll feel right at home here.

About the Company

Our workshop isn’t your average production line. We’re a tight-knit crew, blending traditional techniques with a splash of innovation to create furniture our clients cherish for years. Whether you’re sharing a tip over tea or debating the merits of matte versus gloss, everyone’s opinion matters. Fridays bring homemade sweets, and someone’s always humming along to classic hits while we work. We’re growing fast, but one thing won’t change: quality and pride in every project.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Preparing wooden surfaces with expert care—sanding, filling, and priming, ensuring every grain is ready for its closeup
  • Mixing, matching, and applying paints, stains, and finishes to achieve exactly the right look for each piece
  • Experimenting, blending, and adjusting shades and textures to meet client requests and creative briefs
  • Applying finishes evenly and precisely—whether matte, high-gloss, or somewhere in between—for flawless results
  • Inspecting each piece as if it were destined for your own living room, guaranteeing smooth and clean finishes
  • Keeping brushes, sprayers, and the rest of your gear in top shape, and helping keep the workshop tidy and orderly
  • Occasionally pitching in with the team for tricky installs or brainstorms on custom projects

What You’ll Bring

  • Prior experience with painting and finishing furniture—whether workshop, home projects, or freelance gigs
  • Practical knowledge of prepping surfaces and handling various finishes (lacquers, stains, polishes)
  • Eye for color matching, blending, and texture—perfectionist tendencies welcome!
  • Steady hands, patience, and a problem-solving mindset (“that patch isn’t quite smooth yet? You’ll fix it.”)
  • Openness to learn, share techniques, and ask for help when you hit a tricky patch

Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Competitive pay, paid overtime, and performance-based bonuses
  • All tools and safety gear supplied—no need to bring your own
  • Genuine recognition for craftsmanship and a chance to have your work featured in high-end homes and showrooms
  • Supportive team who believe in learning together—nobody’s left to figure things out alone
  • Regular team lunches and celebratory “first finished piece” cake (yes, it’s become a thing)
  • Stable hours with flexibility for life’s occasional curveballs
  • Opportunities to expand your skills with training in new finishing techniques and materials

Join us, bring your artistry, and help make each piece sing. This is more than a job—it’s a chance to put your mark on something lasting.

  • Tell us about a time you had to adjust your technique or workflow to meet a specific client request. How did you handle it?
  • How do you prioritize quality while staying efficient when you have multiple pieces to finish under a tight timeline?
  • Give an example of when you learned a new finishing technique—how did you go about mastering it?
  • In our workshop, we value sharing knowledge and learning together. Can you describe a moment when you taught or learned from a teammate?
  • Collaboration is big here—how do you approach giving or receiving feedback on a project, especially during team brainstorms?
  • Our team loves to celebrate milestones together. What kind of work culture brings out your best, and why?
  • Sometimes we all pitch in for installs or help tidy up the workshop. How do you feel about taking on tasks outside your core responsibilities?
