About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Ever wondered what it’s like to make a real difference in a family’s day-to-day life? We’re searching for a dependable housemaid—someone who takes pride in a tidy space and enjoys the buzz (and occasional chaos) of a home with a toddler. Whether you prefer to live in or out, this role is based in the lovely Manaseer neighborhood in Abu Dhabi, offering stability and a warm family environment.
About the Family
We’re a small, friendly family with a two-and-a-half-year-old who keeps us on our toes and makes every day feel a bit brighter (and, truth be told, a bit messier!). Our home is a cozy two-bedroom apartment where laughter, good food, and open communication really matter. While we all pitch in, we need someone who can help us keep things running smoothly and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and join in with both housework and a little child’s energy. Respect and kindness are our core values—and we treat everyone as part of the family.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Keeping the apartment sparkling—think mopping, dusting, and making sure those kitchen counters gleam
- Handling dishes and general tidying up after meals and snacks
- Taking care of laundry as needed (sometimes tiny clothes are the trickiest!)
- Assisting with daily routines—errands, organizing, and helping the household run like clockwork
- Lending a hand with our energetic two-and-a-half-year-old: playing, supervising, and ensuring their safety
- Occasionally stepping up to help with simple meal prep or grocery shopping if needed
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- A valid residency visa in the UAE
- Previous experience in housekeeping or childcare (even informal family experience counts!)
- Trustworthiness and a genuine care for cleanliness and order
- Ability to communicate in English (basic/minimal okay)
- Patience and warmth when interacting with children
Nice-to-Haves:
- Prior work in a family home setting in the UAE
- Familiarity with basic first aid or child safety practices
- Willingness to learn new household routines or tasks
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Flexible living arrangements: choose live-in with your own private space, or live-out if you prefer heading home each night
- Supportive, respectful family who values your work and well-being
- Every day is a bit different—never boring when there’s a toddler around!
- Reasonable workload in a manageable two-bedroom apartment (no mansion-level chaos)
- Paid time off and the comfort of a stable, long-term role
We know a happy home depends on the people in it, so we do our best to make family and staff feel safe, supported, and appreciated. If you’re looking for a genuine, welcoming place to work, we hope you’ll reach out!
