What You’ll Be Doing
- Supervising and mentoring housekeeping staff — you’re both a coach and a cheerleader.
- Checking guest rooms, corridors, and public areas to maintain the hotel’s high cleanliness standards.
- Assigning daily duties to the housekeeping team while keeping an eye on time and efficiency.
- Providing on-the-spot training and guidance, especially for new staff members or when rolling out fresh procedures.
- Coordinating with maintenance and front office for smooth guest service.
- Monitoring supplies and inventory, ensuring everything from detergent to fresh towels is always on hand.
- Handling staff schedules, leave requests, and helping resolve minor staffing hiccups with a positive attitude.
- Reporting and following up on maintenance issues as needed to keep the hotel in top-notch shape.
- Supporting the team during busy periods — leading by example, even with a mop or vacuum in hand.
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Prior housekeeping experience in a hotel setting (you know what 5-star cleanliness looks like).
- Experience supervising or leading a team, even if informally.
- Strong attention to detail — you notice what others might miss.
- Good communication skills in English (bonus if you speak another language!).
- The ability to work shifts, including weekends or holidays when needed.
