About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Join Our Family as a Housemaid/Nanny

Do you take pride in creating a warm, organized home and genuinely enjoy caring for little ones? We’re a friendly Sudanese family based in Al Manhal, Abu Dhabi, and we’re searching for a dedicated housemaid/nanny to help us care for our 9-month-old baby and keep our household running smoothly. If you love the idea of becoming part of a close-knit home and making a real difference each day, this role could be just what you’re looking for.

About Us

Our family believes that a happy home starts with kindness, respect, and a bit of laughter (even if it’s just over a cup of tea after a long day). We’re proud of our Sudanese roots and enjoy sharing our traditions — but we’re also open to learning about yours. Mealtimes are important to us, and we appreciate someone who enjoys cooking and is willing to share in the daily routines. Our little one is at a delightful, curious age, and we want someone who sees caring for a child as more than just a job — it’s about helping a young mind grow.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Caring for our 9-month-old baby with patience, attention, and gentle play
  • Preparing simple, healthy meals for the family (and maybe sharing your favorite recipe!)
  • Keeping our home neat and tidy, including daily cleaning and organizing
  • Handling laundry and ironing to keep clothes fresh and ready
  • Assisting with household errands as needed
  • Communicating openly and clearly with us about the day’s routines or any concerns
  • Maintaining a positive, respectful attitude — a friendly “good morning Madam” goes a long way here
  • Option to live in with us or commute daily, whichever suits you best

What You’ll Bring

Must-Haves:

  • Previous experience caring for infants or young children (especially babies under one year)
  • Good organization and time management skills
  • Ability to cook simple meals and keep a kitchen in order
  • Skilled in laundry and ironing
  • Educated and able to communicate clearly in English (politeness matters!)
  • Honest, trustworthy, and reliable

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience working with families from different backgrounds
  • Ability to speak Arabic (not required, but definitely a plus!)
  • A warm sense of humor or a knack for soothing a fussy baby

Not sure if you meet every requirement? We’d still love to hear from you.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Competitive salary of AED 1000 per month, paid on time
  • Flexible arrangements — choose to live in or live out as fits your needs
  • Supportive, respectful family environment where you’re treated as part of the household
  • Opportunities to learn about Sudanese culture (and teach us a bit about yours if you’d like)
  • Safe, welcoming location in Al Manhal, Abu Dhabi
  • Fair working hours and reasonable expectations — we value your well-being

You’ll find that with us, your work is appreciated, your voice is heard, and your care truly matters. If you’re looking for a place where you’re more than just staff, you might just feel right at home here.
