About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Ever wondered what it’s like to see an ordinary space transformed into something stunning, all because of your craftsmanship? As a Marble & Tile Mason in Al Ain, you’ll be the hands (and eyes) behind beautiful floors and elegant surfaces — the finishing touch that truly makes a space shine. If you take pride in getting the details just right, and you’re seeking a role with tangible impact and practical rewards, this might be the opportunity you’ve been looking for.

About the Company

Here in Al Ain, we’re a team passionate about quality construction and genuine teamwork. Whether it’s a new villa or a refreshed commercial space, we believe that every tile and slab tells a story — and we support our masons to be the storytellers. We may not have marble halls in our office, but we do offer a work environment where experience is valued, and effort never goes unnoticed. Our crews are a mix of seasoned hands and newer faces, often swapping tricks of the trade over tea breaks (sometimes with a side of laughter when someone reminisces about a “tile laid sideways” mishap).

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Laying, cutting, and fitting marble and tile with accuracy, ensuring straight lines, even surfaces, and seamless joints
  • Preparing surfaces — whether cleaning, smoothing, or leveling — so that every installation has a solid foundation
  • Mixing and applying adhesives and grouts specific to different types of materials
  • Collaborating with supervisors and fellow masons to interpret drawings or on-site instructions (your voice and input are welcome)
  • Maintaining your tools and work area — a tidy space means safer, more efficient work
  • Handling minor repairs or corrections when needed, always aiming for the highest quality finish
  • Communicating clearly on the job site, especially when coordinating materials or timelines
  • Working with respect for safety rules and team wellbeing at every step

What You’ll Bring

Must-Haves:

  • Practical, hands-on experience with marble and tile installation (if you can show us a sample of your work, even better!)
  • Ability to communicate in English or Hindi on site
  • Willingness to live and work in Al Ain
  • Eligibility to obtain a UAE employment visa

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience working on both residential and commercial projects
  • Familiarity with modern techniques or specialized materials
  • A bit of a perfectionist streak — the kind that double-checks levels and lines

Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Employment visa and work permit covered: No extra hassle for you
  • Free accommodation: Rest easy after a day’s work
  • Free transportation: Getting to and from sites is on us
  • Paid overtime: Busy periods are rewarded accordingly
  • Salary based on your skill and output: The better you work, the more you earn
  • A supportive mix of colleagues, straightforward site management, and the satisfaction of seeing your work stand the test of time

You’ll be building more than just beautiful spaces here — you’ll be building a sense of pride, a fair career, and a home away from home. If you’re ready to lay the next stone in your career, we’d be glad to meet you.

Common Interview Questions and Tips

To help you prepare and feel confident, here are some questions you might encounter during the interview process for this role.

  • Can you walk us through your usual process for laying marble or tile, from initial surface preparation to final finishing?
  • Tell us about a project where you had to cut tiles or marble pieces to fit an irregular space—how did you ensure accuracy and a quality result?
  • What types of adhesives and grouts are you most comfortable working with, and how do you determine which is appropriate for different materials?
  • Sometimes you may receive last-minute changes from the supervisor or client. How do you handle interpreting and adapting to new instructions or drawings on site?
  • Have you worked on both residential and commercial tiling projects? How do your approaches differ between these environments, if at all?
  • What steps do you take to keep your work area organized and your tools maintained during a busy day on site?
  • Describe a time when you noticed a mistake (for example, a tile out of line or an uneven surface) after installation. What did you do to correct it, and what did you learn?
  • How do you make sure you’re coordinating well with your team, especially when timelines are tight or resources are limited?
  • Share an example of when your attention to detail made a positive difference in the outcome of a project.
  • Safety is a top priority in our company. Can you give an example of how you’ve helped maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your coworkers?
  • In our team, experienced masons often mentor newer members. Have you ever shared your knowledge or tips with someone less experienced? How did that go?
  • Living and working away from home can be challenging. How do you build a sense of camaraderie and keep morale high with your crewmates?
  • What motivates you to consistently deliver high-quality work, especially on repetitive or physically demanding projects?
  • Why are you interested in working with our team in Al Ain, and what are you looking for in your next workplace?
