Key Responsibilities

• MEP Design & Drafting: Prepare detailed MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) shop drawings, layouts, and schematics for a variety of building projects.
• HAP Calculations: Accurately perform Heat Load Analysis and HAP (Hourly Analysis Program) calculations to ensure optimal HVAC system sizing and energy efficiency.
• Duct Sizing & Ventilation: Design and size ductwork systems in compliance with project specifications and Abu Dhabi regulations, ensuring proper ventilation and indoor air quality.
• Plumbing Layouts: Develop comprehensive plumbing designs, including water supply, drainage, and sanitary systems, with attention to efficiency and safety.
• Kitchen Design: Create specialized MEP layouts for kitchen spaces, integrating ventilation, fire safety, and ergonomic considerations.
• Electrical Drawings: Prepare and review electrical system drawings as per ADDC (Abu Dhabi Distribution Company) standards, ensuring seamless integration with overall building systems.
• FLS (Fire & Life Safety) Compliance: Incorporate FLS design requirements as per ADCD (Abu Dhabi Civil Defence) guidelines, prioritizing occupant safety in all plans.
• Regulations & Standards: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Abu Dhabi codes and standards, ensuring all designs are fully compliant and ready for submission to authorities.
• Coordination & Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to integrate MEP solutions seamlessly into overall project designs.
• Documentation: Ensure all technical documents, drawings, and records are maintained accurately and updated promptly throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ hands-on experience in MEP design and drafting within the UAE, with a strong portfolio of Abu Dhabi-based projects.
• Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth familiarity with Abu Dhabi regulations, ADDC electrical standards, and ADCD fire and life safety protocols.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficient in AutoCAD and other relevant drafting/design software; experience with HAP software is essential.
• Detail-Oriented: Demonstrated ability to produce highly accurate technical drawings and calculations with a strong focus on quality and compliance.
• Language Skills: Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Location: Currently residing in Abu Dhabi, with immediate availability for employment.
• Team Player: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
